Got an OSKO Siege Hound for cheap so I started making a Roadbuster conversion kit for it, hardest part so far was finding a way to get his chest looking like G1 Roadbuster, partsforming to the rescue!

Fantastic! I saw this as a potential Roadbuster as well! Your vision is much better than the one I had for OK oversized Hound!

To be honest, it's ok, but it feels off.

I think it's mostly because of the intake scoop on the front.
It's supposed to be on the hood, but instead ends up sitting vertically on the front.
Having a vertically oriented intake scoop would kind of defeat the purpose of it.
I think it would make more sense to replace is with a vent instead.
Also, the left side of of the new chest seems a little plain.

The pauldrons are a great idea!
They could stand to be a bit blockier, no?

I like the idea of the bumper becoming a weapon.
Tho, if you don't mind making it a little more complex...
I think it might be cool if it extended farther and included the headlights and incorporated part of the original front fenders.
Then give it a double hinge in the middle and a flip out 5mm peg so it can transform into a funky shot gun.

Something like this terrible sketch I drew:

    Roadbuster bumper gun.jpg

Either way, I'm definitely interested in this kit for my own Roadbuster project that uses the official mould.

Got an update, theres barely enough room and clearance under the altmode for the new parts, but it works :D

Thanks, I always prioritize robot mode over altmode on my designs because thats how I display them, so I don't mind the funky hood and grill if that means a chest closer to the original toy, the left side looks plain cause it needs the autobot insignia, I could mold in the basic shape for a sticker but then people might not have the right reprolabel size at hand so eh, better avoid that.

I tried adding the headlights to the bumper gun on an earlier design but didn't liked how they look. But theres enough room for them on the wheel wells, those had to be glued tho.

Thanks for the feedback tho, I made the armor blockier and it looks better :D

It's amazing how versatile this mold is. It's crazy that it was only reused twice for other characters, given the fact that it could easily portray a huge amount of them.

    Good work!

That new armor is lookin' sick!
    Love it!
If nothing else, I might just by this set for the armor and bumper gun.

Quick question about the OS KO Hound.
Are the pegs & holes scaled up too, or are they still 5mm?
I ask 'cause I'm planning to use these parts with the official Siege Hound mould.

They're scaled up to 6.5 mm.

Groovy. So I should be able to just scale the kit down without worrying about the pegs.

    That is looking really good!

Roadbuster head ready! scale was a bit tricky, now he has to "look up" during transformation, but it works. The kit should be up on my cults3d page tomorrow, just gotta tweak some details.
