man, those bikes look like shit in robot mode.
Oh wow, that 1:24 Jaguar XJ220 is BEAUTIFUL!
Well, I know what I'm getting with the last of my Ebay game sales...
hello alt Brawn!
welp alts continue through kitbashing!
Moved to TF toy discussion, since TF toy fans would be more interested. I really like that new Jaguar.
My brother is going to LOVE that Landrover! And possibly that XJ220 as well.
C'mon baby! Daddy needs a new Range Rover!
Oh, so cool...hellooooo, kitbash fodder!
What are Roadbots?
Alright! Roadbots in 1:24 scale! FINALLY!
I just wished the others had been this scale as well . . .
The 1:24 Roadbots are much cooler than their bigger brothers. Especialy with all that armour on. As for bikes, Kawasaki one is nice looking. Much better than the Harly.
Transformable-robot toys made by a company called "Happywell." They are similar to Alternators, with the exception that until now they weren't available in a scale that matched Alternators' 1:24 scale.
(note: I only own the 1:32 scale ones, however, based on the pictures of the larger scaled ones, I believe the criticisms I make apply across the board)
They are, in general (and in my opinion), hardly the equal of Alternators. They are great looking in their vehicle forms, and are made with very good quality plastic, but that's about all they have going for them. Many of them require partforming, and the robot modes look poorly proportioned and knock-offish.
They do make for good kitbash fodder, and not all of them suffer as badly from partforming, etc, so they aren't all bad. I'm gonna wait for better pictures and a review, but the new 1:24 scale ones look promising.
Yep, the 1/24 scale RBs are very sweet . I wonder which colors they'll end up getting...
Why has the Kawasaki Bike-Bot got 3 wheels in robot mode?
Cool! 1/24 scaled Roadbots....bout time!!.....
Is it just me, but does it look like the Jag has "closed fist" hands?
Non the less...should make for great kitbash fooder to further increase the ranks of "Custom Alternators"
i must get those corvettes
I'm loving that Land Rover. I feel some customs coming on.
The Jaguar is the only one worth getting to me. I got the Hummer and Land Cruiser in the 1:18 scale but since they are big cars they don't look out of place among Alts.
QFT! I was REALLY excited to see the Roadbots first come out, but I passed on em when I saw they weren't in scale with Alts/BTs. I guess with the Alt/BT line out of the way, it frees Happywell up a bit . . .
It does look like they have non-articulated hands (and I'd assume this would be true to lower production costs). So it's not just you;, all of that plastic crack has finally gotten to ya
That's a novel idea! Now just to find someone interested in making custom Alternators . . .
I can't get too excited about this... I'm having a hard enough time just finding the OLD Roadbots!
Those 1:32 Roadbots at BBTS have been on "preorder" for about 7 months, with NO change in status.
I don't know if that's BBTS's fault, or maybe Happywell just has TERRIBLE shipping practices...
TFsource had the 1/32 scale roadbots in stock. I ordered the land rover from them. Very underwhelmed I was.
This 1/24 scale sport ute has Brawn potential on him, but I need better pics ( without armor ) and a review. IF he's as big of a parts former as the 1/32 scale, then major pass.
