I am trying to get some variation in the heights of my bots for display.

Are there good recommendations for risers that work well with MP bots (clear, scenery, or TF themed)?

It's pretty easy to make some out of white packing styrofoam. You can buy an inexpensive tool from Amazon to cut/melt it.

You can seal it with wood glue to cover up the surface, then paint over it with acrylic paint.

Fairly inexpensive, fun to do, and you get the satisfaction of making exactly what you want, and not settling.

    Here are some I've made

    That's a great idea.

I haven't made terrain out of styrofoam since my old Warhammer days.

For those interested in doing this, you can make nice rocky looking textures by applying a small amount of solvent to melt the styrofoam into "rock faces" (superglue, freon, ketones or organic esters work well for this).

If you don't mind them being opaque, spice shelf organizers work surprisingly well. A lot of them fit perfectly into detolfs if you use those. The rubberized levels helps keep things in place too.

A little pricier than some other options but I liked these:
obmwang 3 Pack Large Clear Acrylic Riser Set, Acrylic Display Risers Shelf Showcase Fixtures for Jewelry, Display Stand (3 Sizes A) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WP31KF9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_uWEGlXLRVrgCS

I like the fact that they come in different heights so I can have two tiers off the ground and adjust their depth since they’re independent. Works well with Legends scale figures.

I actually purchase quite a few transparent square-ish candy trays from the Dollar store...cheap, sturdy, and clear so the they kinda blend in with the display.

Those look pretty cloudy. Did you not peel off the protective film?

This is hilarious (and stupid on my part). I NEVER noticed there was protective film on these risers and that’s a total bonehead move on my part. Just took them all out and removed the film just now haha.

I was also thinking about risers today. I'm curious about what people use. I'm especially interested in getting done for larger bots who stand in the back. Anyone else have good recommendations for MP scale?

I use Wicked Brick for Lego stands and they've just started doing more general clear risers - the 2 or 3 tier ones would probably work for MPs, especially the MP cars. Sized perfectly for Detolfs as well.

You can virtually make risers put of nearly everything.

I've taken cardboard and black t-shirts and made some myself.

Just about anything transparent that's flat/stable enough to hold up a figure works. For smaller figures that fly, I've taken water bottles and cut them to fit, too.

It's a very fun and creative way to have fun with your figures! :)

Yeah it's kind of a pain, but they are like super crystal clear and look great. I ordered a set of the mini ones from Amazon for some legends figures and I'm definitely pleased. It was the first time I ever had to remove a protective film though. All the other risers I've got came from Store Supply Warehouse and had no film.

See my above mention about solvents melting the styrofoam surface. The propellants in the spray paint did just that.
