What do you think the first trailer will show? What would you like to see in it? I expect it in December.

 

Is it still confirmed that we are still getting a trailer in December

 

Hmm, hard to know.

I'm gonna guess the teaser will start with the human stuff (probably Anthony Remos' character struggling with whatever life problems he's dealing with), and then show a bit of the car chase. Then a clip of Remos meeting Mirage, which also reveals to the audience that it's a trailer for a Transformers movie. A bit like how the teaser for Bumblebee was structured (where it starts off like a story about a girl wanting a car).

Then I'm guessing they'll give a couple glimpses of the setup (like maybe a flashback to the Maximal ship crashing or a shot of whatever MacGuffin they're after), while still keeping the overall storyline vague. Then probably a few quick shots of action scenes and a couple other Autobots/Maximals. Definitely a shot of the cutesy character, if there's one in the movie (possibly the rumored skunk Maximal).

Guessing the teaser will end with a shot of Scourge and a hint at a larger mystery involving why the Terrorcons are here. They could end by teasing Primal, but I think the marketing won't try to hide the Beast stuff too much since that's the title of the movie. I think Scourge and the Terrorcons are going to be the big mystery. Villains always tend to make great teases in general.

I think the teaser will mainly focus on Noah, Prime, Bee, and Mirage.
A couple shots of Beasts.
Scourge might appear, as the climax of the trailer.

 

The initial trailer will probably show Noah, Bee, Mirage, and some of the beasts to get people interested. Then I think we'll get another trailer around Superbowl that will be the big trailer full of money shots.

They should have the human characters first, then show a shot of Noah meeting Mirage and seeing him transform. Then show some of the chases, shots of the beasts, big shot of Primal, then at the end have Scourge show up, and maybe a few clips of Scourge fighting Optimus

 

It will be some camera recordings in a jungle until a gorilla with metal parts appears and then the trailer ends and we'll have people in this board whining why they didn't reveal the robot modes of all the robot characters in the teaser.

 

Will it have a "wommmmmm"?

I sort of hope it doesn't have any "wommmmmm"s.

 

I also think rap music will feature in the trailer.

Wouldn't be surprised if it starts off like some '90s coming of age story about some punk kid from Brooklyn, with The Pharcyde bumping in the background and then BOOM, robot montage, some heroic sounding Autobot lines and menacing sounding Terrorcon(?) lines interspersed.

Probably not much, just enough to tease and tantalize.

 

- Open with a car chase sequence in which Noah evades police inside of Mirage, who uses his duplicating ability. A snippy line of dialogue from Mirage followed by some quick banter.
- Dramatic shot of Optimus Prime transforming into his robot form, showcasing his G1-looking design to casual fans. He's looking off into the distance.
- Shot of Scourge and the Terrorcons surrounding Optimus (different scene of the movie than from the shot before). Narration from Scourge hinting at their greater motives (though still kept vague).
- Elena sneaks around an ancient temple, only for Nightbird to jump out in a jumpscare-like fashion.
- Cut to Elena defiantly stands before some sort of altar at Machu Picchu as Scourge looms over her.
- Chase through the streets of Peru. Shot of Arcee hanging onto the back of another vehicle as she fires her blaster.
- Shot of Bumblebee running through a forest from an unknown threat. He's in his upgraded Camaro form.
- Shot of Noah with his arm weapon, pointing it at an enemy offscreen (the trailer will frame it as a Maximal, but within the film it's likely a Terrorcon).
- Optimus Prime V Optimus Primal scuffle, ending with a full reveal of the Maximals in their animal forms.
- Title Card engulfed in flames.

 

Really, really, really hoping this film doesn’t turn out bad. I’m really interested in how they are going to properly execute a story with five different factions and make it appear coherent and comprehensive to non-fans.

Also, I’m genuinely curious as to how the tone of the film will be portrayed. Will it be more silly and comedic in nature, like the Bumblebee movie? Or will it take a somewhat more serious approach like the Bayverse tried to do? For example, in the trailers for DOTM and AOE, the films not only look like action movies, but horror movies with the dark, epic music and shots chosen. So, I wonder if a similar dark approach will be applied to ROTB, or if it will be lighter in tone like the Bumblebee film.

 

Caple said Terrorcons will bring horror elements so perhaps marketing them will be horror like.
