That was a great show of a studio and director listening to the fans. I don't think there has been any other movie where fan response has changed something to that extent.

Well done to Paramount & Jeff Fowler for doing that, it was the right move. All the work that the director, cast & crew put into the movie would have been marred by people disliking the design if they stuck with it - that was the difference between Sonic being a success or not.

 

I followed the backlash to Sonic's initial design pretty closely back then. Paramount was pretty adamant in using the original design for the movie, however the backlash was so huge even they decided to back track on their original decision. Thankfully we got a better looking Sonic model out of it.

 

I want a teaser like this for ROTB but with mirage

 

I think the director, Jeff Fowler was instrumental in getting the change made. If they really wanted to, Paramount could have chose to stick with the original despite the massive outcry.

It would have been a a lot easy for them to just ignore it with all the merch and promotion being ready, so I give props to them for accepting want the fans wanted. I think if they hadn't changed it, the movie wouldn't have been as well received by the audience.

 

Honestly? I think Shatter and Dropkick were some of the best movie designs we’ve ever gotten and were the standouts in BB, moreso than the Cybertron designs.

I can see the similarities with RotF Arcee and BM Thrust

 

I feel we all have a feeling that the film will end revealing Megatron

 

I do hope that that one possible leak of the film ending with Soundwave picking up a signal from Earth and reporting to Megatron turns out to be true.

Pretty sure the Decepticons will only been seen in flashbacks or the after credit scene so hope that's what it is.

As long as it's a good teaser with beautiful shots like Lightyear I'd be down. But I have a feeling the teaser will show more than just Mirage (probably the whole team or at least show Prime, Bee, Scourge with a tease of the Maximals at the end). Also I think Lightyear starting marketing is again telling us ROTB could start marketing soon if they wanted too.

I picture SW telling Megatron they have found Prime as the after credit/post credit scene

I think they've got to show us some concepts from the movie by november or december ! I think january will be kind of late to build hype. Tbh it's concerning cause they haven't revealed anything about sonic 2 yet .

 

January is definitely way too late to start marketing your movie example of this being Solo. They waited too long to start promoting/marketing the movie. And hopefully, we get concept art in Nov. or we get a teaser trailer in late Nov. or Dec. (maybe before NWH). And yeah they need to start marketing for that movie as well.
