but if he said it?
R u saying it is not a reboot?
Thank you very much, I had those doubts :
They were already seen several times driving Scourge around when not filming, and he's usually on a flatbed when they're transporting him around with another truck, so I don't think that's why he was being towed.
Multiple sources said he has a fire beard on his G1 face
Probably because he was the only Con to survive Bayverse
You know, with how often they've been used interchangeably I sometimes wonder if Hasbro / Paramount just don't realize the symbols are different. Perhaps they do but I wouldn't at all be surprised if they just didn't notice either.
To be fair most of the movie characters are 'nothing-characters', but for what it's worth he's been done better elsewhere, it's just a shame the movies themselves can't be included among them.
The Tf equivalent of evil cop police brutality. What’s not to like
Also comes back every second movie for no reason whatsoever and no fanfare either from megatron.
Oh u survived Chicago and mission city!?
Well, the thing there is...we don't know if Decepticons are actually going to be in the movie in any worthwhile capacity.
That's probably the least surprising thing here, given how they couldn't even keep it straight on where Transformers even supposedly came from. AllSpark one film, The Creators another, etc. etc.
That's the concern. Paramount has never, in any official capacity, even broached the subject. Hasbro was the one who said all that stuff about the 'new storytelling universe' but they seem to be willing to take a backseat to whatever is going on with this film. Particularly Lorenzo, who has NEVER backed down from saying Bumblebee was still a prequel.
True also the new storytelling universe was said in 2018…way before this movie was commissioned and I imagine heaps have changed
Wasn't this movie commissioned after all that? Plus, there were a bunch of re-writes. If they wanted this to be a reboot, they could very easily change it to be that way.
Damn! That is one smokey truck. Scourge looks like he has major ring wear.
Because Barricade is that one character who just appears and disappears without any context about his status between films or off screen.
I will not be suprised if that's the face or even Steven doesn't know. Especially with this (I know they used the G1 version of the symbol for BB but still).
Too be fair he did say it finally was a reboot but still I get your point.
“The main Transformers movie we are working on is a reboot, and I will say that the Bumblebee sequel will be more directly linked to the timeline that we set up.” - Lorenzo Dibonaventura
That's right, I believe they will only reveal ROTB is a reboot or not after the movie is released. If the general audience likes it very much, and the box office is successful, then they'll announce it as a reboot
I've never even seen this article but it also dates back to 2019 and could have been a throwaway line. ROTB was finalized well after that period immediately after BB.
Except thats what was expected after Bumblebee and we're STILL asking the reboot question.
The cool corduroy Edwin Vengas shared with me this video that he recorded in Las Maras Cusco days ago, where we appreciate the combi which is rumored to be a Wheeljack.
Wonder what he's doing out there alone, probably just filming some scenes for him just by himself.
100%. Regardless of how this movie turns out, there's no denying they nailed Optimus Prime's design just as the Bumblebee movie did.
On a side note, if the van is Wheeljack, we're seeing disappointingly little of him in filming, though to be fair they seem to be focusing a lot on a chase sequence between Optimus and Scourge. I can also imagine we'll see Wheeljack primarily in bot mode doing important science-y stuff while the others do most of the fighting so he'll be primarily cgi.
Separate names with a comma.
