Yup and even before we "knew" of Bee's fate the fact that we saw more of Mirage on street was telling that he was gonna get the spotlight and was gonna have a connection with Noah (just by the police chases I knew he and Noah where gonna have a connection)

That makes no sense, Bumblebee was considered a success by Paramount and Hasbro. If Bumblebee didn't do well then we wouldn't even be getting Rise Of The Beasts or any upcoming TF film at all. Considering the movies were in jeopardy after TLK.

 

Has anyone else noticed that the ROTB and Bumblebee Autobots are basically the TFP main cast? Mirage sounds like he's going to be a lot like Smokescreen, and Bulkhead is kind of a mixture of Brawn and Ironhide, the latter of which was replaced by Bulkhead in TFP.

You mean 'improved'; ROTF was very much an improvised script.

Make sense. I'm sure it's just a coincidence, but if it's not Transformers Prime was one of the best Transformers cartoon series ever made. And it was essentially the Michael Bay movies done right.

I do hope unlike Prime we get to see a larger cast that exist in the movie Universe. I want to see a base(s) with Autobots doing everyday things ( Gathering "food", laughing, working, etc.) as well as reconnaissance throughout the planet to gain a better understanding.

I think this will play a nice contrast to when the Decepticons arrive in a later movie. You can show them not giving a darn about anything. Kind of like when the colonial Powers went in to indigenous communities and wreak havoc.

I was about to say the same thing. . .The redundant dying and reviving shtick and the ancient aliens/Transformers-can't-come-to-earth-without-having-a-hand-in-human-history (as opposed to coming to Earth due to their war), are 2 of the many reasons why I won't be paying to see ROTB, if I see it at all. . .

 

But we don't know that's the reason they came to Earth for that. I mean they say in the beginning of BB that Prime wants Bee to establish a base on Earth because it's well hidden not because some artifact they know of is there.

"I found a planet that's well hidden...Earth" and "You will travel they're and establish a base for us once we find the others we'll join you" - Optimus Prime in the opening of Bumblebee

 

Yet not even once a artifact was mentioned for thus film but hey you'll end up watching it anyways

 

I kind of get the point though. Even if it's not already been done in this particular continuity that starts with Bumblebee, it has been done with virtually every other Transformers movie, and redoing the same things, just with a fresh look might not necessarily be the way to revitalise the movies.

We're going by what's rumoured, so no, none of this is confirmed but it wouldn't be surprising.
