Because hes been saying the exact same thing for months on end, the vehicle designs are wrong, theres too many characters, the plot is similar to the bayverse, etc etc multiple times on every page in this thread while somehow pretending like arguing the same point worded slightly different is a substantive argument.

 

Seems like it is based on the fucking chaos that erupts every time a picture of Bay on set is posted.

One reason why I don't think that VW is Transformer is due to the color scheme. We already have 2 redish Bots: Prime and Arcee. I doubt they'd want another one on the team. I'm thinking it's a vehicle belonging to a human character. It might be a Terrorcon but it looks fairly plain compared to the rest of the crew.

EDIT: Okay nevermind. The picture above has the VW with the rest of the Autobots. So it might be a Bot after all.

His name was heard in video clips? I guess I missed that.

 

Now hold on, I've only said that about Mirage. Everybody else has good alt. mode choices - hell, I'll even admit I like the idea of the VW van being Wheeljack since besides the fact he was the best driver of the G1 autobots, that does seem more his actual style than a rally spec. Lancia Stratos.

A smaller cast of characters done well has more narrative strength as opposed to a lot of characters who won't get a whole lot of attention beyond maybe a one-liner or two.

Its not like I've been getting substantive counterarguments.

VW Confirmed for Wheeljack.

EDIT: Also, I guess the lighting was just crap for the earlier picture, as Nightbird actually looks significantly more vibrant here and much more what I was hoping for.

 

So the VW might really be Wheeljack if it's with the Autobots

I'm kinda really wanting that VW to be Jackie now.     Since I've had that idea put in my head.

This is really the crux of the issue, I think. Not all responses have the same innate value / amount of substance, and to be perfectly honest most of the """""counterarguments"""" haven't' been very good.

 

So wheeljack is the van? Interesting take if that's indeed him
