That would be pretty cool to see if they could make it work.
This does concern me a little, if we wind up getting the movie released and it has its own toyline and then we have to wait years for the Studio Series to adapt it, interspersed with all the other stuff we are missing.
"I think I just accidentally stumbled across a Transformers movie set"
I'm pretty sure it was leaked that we'll be getting ROTB toys in Studio Series next year. There might be a ROTB line running adjacent to Studio Series, but it'll most likely be for simpler toys and/or repacks. That's what they did for the Bumblebee movie, at least.
Rotb will have a kid centered / gimmick tie in line next year however we will have to wait for any SS releases character wise as 2023 is the plan so I've heard
The video with the classic transition that Caple Jr. posted on Instagram:
Pretty cool screensaver, though I imagine it would get a bit annoying after a while at that speed.

Sweet shot of MIRAGE

Also, a sad potential spoiler:
Oh no come on don't tell me this is possibly hinting at mirage be killed when this movie comes out I better bring tissues
I’m really hoping that these plans change otherwise I will no other option but to wait till 2023 to watch the movie.
he might get a new alt-mode
This is the setup just outside the café they're filming at (source 1 and source 2):
Unfortunately, the interior set is inaccessible.
Mirage apparently changes modes often.
Also "destroyed" could mean from stunts. Like even just going off a ramp and landing will wreck these cars from future use. In movies we're used to cars surviving ten foot falls with intact suspension, yet in reality cars aren't designed to do anything but drive on smooth roads. Especially a Porsche.
God damn those are the best shots yet.
Tobe Nwigwe posted a video from the set the other day.
"THE SET OF @transformersmovie .
it’s a beautiful thing to have my babies experience things i never experienced as a child."
Totally missing the point of his post, but I wonder where this is:
Edit: found it:
Edit 2: same carpet:
I find it hard to believe that's referring to a death scene, since Transformers don't tend to get killed off in vehicle mode. And even when they do, it doesn't seem like it would be a practical stunt. Like, Sideways and one of the Dreads died in vehicle mode, but those were still CGI models.
That being said, I could actually see Mirage dying early on. Maybe he's just an informant who gives Optimus and Bumblebee some info, then gets killed. Obviously that's a complete guess, but it seems like the sort of thing that could happen.
All the Dreads died in robot mode. It's actually really rare for any TF to die in alt mode at all.
It's just a shame they didn't keep the more detailed Sideways death from the animatics, showing his head sorta fall out as his body is split in half. The animatics also had a neat moment showing him flee / tussel with Arcee and the bikes.
