Oh man black with nice red accents would be SICK.
is that bumblebee's new look? the jorts are unconventional, but not a bad design idea!
Those are the only character vehicles that have been photographed at the moment, unless Barricade is hiding as an NYPD car or this is Overdrive (but I doubt it):
I really hope Scourge and Nightbird will be in the streets of Montreal, though. Would love to get some photos of them.
Get that treated quickly!
If it grows completely, you'll have a hard time getting through doorways.
I wonder if we will see any vehicles for characters that weren't announced yet.
So far we can assume that any vehicles that are used as Transformer alt. modes will have a subtle yet prominent "movie style' faction insignia (more angled and 'angry eyed' compared to the original 1980s designs) on them, since Prime has his just above the grille/bull bar and "Mirage" has one as a hood ornament. And Bumblebee is probably the only yellow vehicle within a five mile radius.
I thought they were using the classic symbols again?
God I wish that were the case.
The Decepticon Symbol is a stylized rendition of G1 Soundwave's toy face (the big clue being the big upside down pointy arrow forehead crest with the big centered triangle and how the four points at the top of the symbol match the four points of Soundwave's head), much how the Autobot symbol is actually a stylized rendition of G1 Prowl's toy face.
If I remember I'll MS Paint lines on the toy image so you can see it, still at work at the moment, unless somebody else feels like doing that.
Even as a hardcore fan, I honestly have trouble telling the symbols apart on a glance, so it wouldn't surprise me if the movie went back to the Bay symbols on "no one really cares about the difference in the staff" basis alone.
Just out of curiosity, has the whole "Autobot symbol was designed after Prowl, Decepticon Symbol was designed after Soundwave" thing ever been verified by the designer, or anyone official? That feels like fan conjecture.
If I was told to create a stylized version of Prowl and Soundwave's faces, that's not what I would design. Like...where's Soundwave's visor? Where's the face mask? The whole bottom half of the Decepticon symbol looks nothing like Soundwave's face (not even a stylized version of it)...it almost looks like it could be a stylized version of Megatron's helmet (imagine the triangles at the bottom as pieces of the helmet that wrap around...almost like WFC Megatron's helmet). And the only aspect of Prowl I see in the Autobot symbol are possibly the crests. And Prowl never had that wide upside down triangle-ish piece.
I don't doubt that Prowl and Soundwave could have been used as inspiration for aspects of the symbols, but I kind of reject the idea that they're "stylized interpretations" of their faces. It feels more like an attempt to design general heroic and villainous faces, that sort of encapsulate the vibe of their factions.
We were told that by Floro Dery that the logos were designed by an artist based on the toys, people just assume said toys are Prowl and Soundwave since, y'know, they're the toys from the first wave that most resemble them.
It's abstract, it's not like the 'Con symbol is literally supposed to be Soundwave, just based on him, same with Prowl and the Autobot logo. They were just inspiration, since they needed faction logos that fit the aesthetic of the characters.
"Transformers: Rise of the Beasts ― Décor du tournage à Montréal Québec Canada C'est écrit la date de 1994 sur une affiche, même date que se déroule le film. Par respect pour la prod, & éviter trop de curieux, je ne dirai pas les lieux de tournage, c'est compréhensible

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts - Shooting set in Montreal Quebec Canada It's written the date 1994 on a poster, the same date the movie takes place. Out of respect for the production, and to avoid too many curious people, I won't say the filming locations, that's understandable"
94 Canada. Hope that was a good era.
Here's where those blue screen pictures were taken:
So that's who landed on my car while driving
Looks like they might be moving one of the NYC buses downtown:
