I mean I normally don't care about that ruining my experience it actually enhances mine
I'm pretty sure Paramount cares.

Why would it be a 'wonderful' idea to connect onto a dead narrative? Everyone who is getting introduced in this film is going to be conspicuously absent and everything this film sets up will be entirely pointless because none of its plot would have any kind of relationship to what was established in bayverse. It makes no sense to keep being saddled with a film franchise with a terrible reputation with the general public and all the characters people actually give a shit about are dead. Bumblebee's movie is an outlier because that should have been canceled but Paramount literally couldn't afford to lose the investment and the fact is largely cut out any and all bayverse connections was widely regarded as a positive change. Trying to reconnect to bayverse would squander all the good will that Bumblebee managed to salvage in the wake of TLK.
Oh man, just want to express that the idea of connecting the universe to the universe is fascinating does not mean that I disagree with the fact that Bayverse needs to stay dead. You don't have to be so sensitive to every sentence about Michael Bay all the time...
Many of us said that with the great information that was filtered or revealed from TLK and look what happened.
Plus, turning the Bay Autobots into the Terrorcons would be one big middle finger to the Bayverse fans. I still don't understand why they'd throw 10 years of storytelling out of the window just like that.
Personally I just want to know if Brawn is in it?
YES! 70s/80s Bronco altmode is perf for him
Except I wasn't yea I was excited until they did the cinemacon thing and people talking about the footage they saw I knew to not enhance
Sorry playing catchup is the whole Scourge being a stand-in for Bay Optimus Prime gotten more credibility?
No it's a fake leak
I prefer to think of it as them doing what the first Deadpool did in response to that thing from X-Men Origins: Wolverine rather than a purposeful 'middle finger' to anyone. Or like the scene mocking 'Zilla' from Godzilla: Final Wars.
Plus, uh... 10 years of storytelling? The Bay movies themselves constantly threw their own story and non-existent continuity out the frikkin' window. We'd literally lose nothing of value if they decided tomorrow the Bay movie universe imploded or something.
Ten+ years of people refusing to understand why most people think the bayverse is bad storytelling can do things to a man.
Dude, that ship sailed when people pointed out that it was hard to tell how TLK Nemesis Prime was actually different from normal Bayverse prime by then
Honestly a story deciding to turn the 'characters' from the Bay films into a villainous faction working for Unicron at least gives them SOMETHING, rather than just being CGI props.
Also it'd definitely be cathartic to watch Optimus wail on that terrible character sharing his namesake from the previous films. The movie could be terrible but if we got a scene of Optimus beating up a literal physical manifestation of the 'Bayverse' that'd be worth the price of admission alone.
it's weird they're filming without steven caple jr, are they reeshots?
I think in this scene optimus is going through the homeless and seeing the brooklyn poverty and some terrocon or decepticon appears and they fight
so this truck is not going to be a decepticon after all, i think mirage will be being chased by the police (ofc) and will create duplicates of itself to fool them and manage to escape without getting caught, so we have this truck accident with a police car that is reported in the next day's newspaper.
(There's a newspaper on set that says there was a truck accident, I thought it could be Scourge before but I think it's this mirage scene)
The question is, what did he do to get the police after him?
