    Or they just want to keep the trademark and what better way than on a gator/croc? OG Beast Wars routinely had multiple characters with similar beast alts so having two and one being Megatron and the other being Skullcruncher isn't really all that different.

    Also, it's a great way to tie the G1 and BW lines together. So if they ever do a gator beast toy they now have another option for a repaint to get more usage out of the mold.

    Yeah I get the impression that one in particular may end up being incredibly popular.

    Kind of has a Brave vibe. Can't say I don't like it but also hesitant to say that I do. The execution just feels a little less like he's being powered up by a phoenix and more like he's cooking a chicken inside his hood.

    The line is aimed at children, having a random weapon-bot crocodile called megatron would confuse the hell out of them. Most people who were around for Beast Wars don't even remember Croc Megatron

    Too bad this came out *after* they finished work on their anime cutie Bee statue. Bet they're kicking themselves over there.

    It's less that and more that Megatron probably isn't in this movie and if he is it's not as Prime's croc gun.

    What, am I not allowed posting in news threads now because I just don't get what exactly Hasbro thinks they're doing with the movie toyline anymore?

    I can't tell if you realize this means you're saying late-era Armada was the best we've had until now.

    Plus, Skullcruncher was a crocodile even as recent as Titans Return so it's a good use of the name.
