All these animal weapon/armour partners are giving me OG Action Master vibes.

 

Now that you've said it, I wish instead of Bumblebee it was Arcee or Nightbird.

 

Also I wish TakaraTomy hadn't retired from life...   since I live in Japan, I'd love to be able to buy these cheaper domestically... but they're almost certainly not going to get released here judging by TT's current abysmal lack of effort these days... so I probably have no choice but to order them off Amazon US at high prices......sigh.

Okay so you know how the first trailer includes what looks like an early scene of Scourge about to beat the shit out of Bee?



This to me is seals it. Bee's absolutely getting murdered in the first act and then getting revived later with his new pheonix powers.

From a storytelling standpoint, it would get him out of the way to let Prime be the central character this time but not keep him out permanently for future movies.

 

Live action Tigerhawk is looking pretty shit not gonna lie.

Also a major missed opportunity for BATTLE BEASTS.

You are thinking of the Utroms from the 2003 cartoon.

My guess is he dies helping Prime and the others escape. That leads to the scene from the trailer where everybody (but Bee) is looking out over the horizon.

Then later they recover his body (maybe Nightbird helps when she face turns) and he gets reborn/rebuilt with an eagle alt (or at least temporarily takes one on).

It's the natural outcome of the story. General audiences are gonna want to see Prime and Bee take on beast modes with the others. And unless he's an elephant or something that aligns more with his new "off road" alt...I think Prime's getting a King of the Jungle lion mode to tie in to Legacy Leo Prime.

And then there's the...Bumblebird? That looks like something from the cheap knockoff abominations Ashens reviews? They just stuck a bird head right there on his chest instead of, I dunno, giving him a different head where the helmet is more avian styled.

 

The Arcee in that Beast Combiner set actually kinda looks better than the core clasd figure.

I need those battlemasters. My Kingdom Rhinox demands two of his mini me guns.
