Back in 2007, I think we all watched the first movie and agreed that eventually there'd be a hyper show-faithful Rhinox in the lineup, just seemed like the natural next step.

 

That's definitely not what I was thinking at the time.

 

As if yesterday\'s announcements weren\'t enough, my poor wallet, I need these Beast Wars Targetmasters

 

Man, there's a lot to like here. I really dig the BW Weaponizers/Battle Masters and I really hope they can be used in a way by Kingdom/Legacy BW toys.

(Although this would have been the perfect time to reveal the ROTB Deluxe and Voyager toys. What's up with them?)

 

The Rhino and Croc battle masters look cool. I might just have to add those to my collection.

 

Hasbro really dropped all the CHUG preorders yesterday, making collectors spend all their cash, and then revealed the pot of gold that is ROTB the day after

 

From these reveals, I'm sold on the beast battlemasters and that's about it

 

I definitely like the little beast battlemasters, but a lot of this really just looks like gimmicky crap that's gonna still be on shelves long after the movie's been out. :/

Ok, those beast Targetmasters are all pretty cool. Don’t know if I need them, but tempting!

I also appreciate (and it’s something I’ve called for for years) that they don’t seem to be overly “dumbing down” the sculpting for the “kiddie” lines… they have a little bit of the “big head/big eyes” thing going, but much less so than past lines (at first glance anyways)

I’ve always felt kids can tell when they’re being talked down too, and even if figures are simplified and chunky, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t “look cool” like the “real” thing. I’d have gone so far as to say you should make the lines cross-compatible aesthetically.

holy f**k I think I need all of them   not since probably RID15 have I been this excited for a kids line, all of these look like a lot of fun

 

I'm loving these small figures, I'm definitely picking up that Battlemaster crocodile (Skullcruncher?) and Battlemaster Rhinox, I also might pick up Power Combiner Bumblebee. And if that wasn't enough I'm likely also getting Weaponizer 2-pack Prime.

As if the Legacy Junkions weren't enough, more fun figures are coming our way in 2023. What a sad time for my wallet...    
Hope we can get some cool repaints of these figures too. I love gimmick figures like these.

There must be some supreme irony also in Optimus Primal combining with a crocodile/alligator. Megatron is not amused.
I doubt the beasts will combine in the movie, but they sure love these spring loaded powerlinx things at Hasbro.
The crocodile gun I might get, to repaint into Gatoraider.
