I wonder what's up with the croc, like the other animal partners are all one offs, other then the croc, maybe a background character like that scrapper from TLK, who is just in the background. Idk, it's just weird to specifically have it next to two figures that represents actual characters in the film AND also a part of another set.

 

I'm happy that the gimmick toys have transformation based gimmicks. I would've much preferred these combiners as a kid to something like Energon Igniters.

 

We’d been told that “Skull” was a code name for “Crescent “, but it seems to have been changed to Skullcruncher. Heroic Maximal Skullcruncher. Okay! Arrowstripe must be the crossbow tiger, no telling how the other names line up.

He's most certainly based on Skullcruncher and since he won't be on the film he's one of those bots that gets a toy in a toy line despite not appearing in any media of that toy line (aside from comics maybe).

 

Wow so early Rhinox looked amazing as well... man.. why did they not move forward with these designs? So far the only better Beast movie design has been Primal.

 

These actually look pretty fun.

But that Bumblebee is funny as fuck. I knew we were going to get a "beast mode" Bumblebee, but I didn't expect it to be his regular robot mode with a fucking bird sprouting out of his chest like a Xenomorph Chestburster.
