I'm talking about fanbase in general, any fanbase.

I mean, I literally said "the bigger the fanbase, the harder to filter".

It's not that smaller communities won't have any cancer, it's that smaller communities will be easier to filter. It's not just "cooler hipster" or whatever, because I've seen local fandom that went from chill to bad thanks to its series getting anime adaptation.

And nowhere I said that is bad. You can evolve and welcoming new blood without being mainstream. It'll grow slower of course.

I love how people seems to just read the first half of my message and goes "NUH UH MAINSTREAM IS NOT BAD"

Now that I think about it, Prime has his trailer at the end of BB. What if they bring back his armory in ROTB and we get to see some more of his weapons?

 

Imagine we got to see the proper combat deck in live action... I'd freak out

 

Unironically I think that'd be cool. Give me something God Ginrai-esque and that'd be awesome.

What I'd like to see is what happens is when the live action movies finally take a hard turn away from what we already have, and how many people remain with the franchise and how many depart.

 

Damn true, Hasbro really did just not make those characters… alongside BW Polarclaw and G1 Gears. I guess that must mean they don’t value those continuities either?

 

Polar Claw was rumored to have originally been slated for Kingdom, but was replaced by Tigatron.

And Gears? Why would they need to do Gears? He got a figure back in 2014!

 

Sounds like it could work but it's impossible to know what's the plan after ROTB.

For me I'm content with fan made films or shorts.

 

Arcee has had like 3-4 updates since then. I guess they care about g1 arcee more than gears and polar claw.

 

Plus where is gears with ankle tilts

 

Iirc Polar Claw was planned, but replaced by Tigatron because he was planned to be a repaint of Cheetor, but remade into a voyager with shared engineering with Cheetor, thus kicking out one Voyager slot (Polar Claw).

 

So I do have some genuine expectations for this movie. My expectations is that the intended audience, kids, will love it and there will be enough “jokes only adults get” to keep me entertained while also enjoying the nostalgia. When this movie comes out, I do plan on taking my kids to see it cuz seeing their faces get ecstatic seeing bumblebee, prime, primal, and cheetor is what this franchise is about. I’m not expecting and Oscar award winning movie. Hell the mcu can barely bring that in. I’m not looking for deep meaning plots and emotional drama. I’m looking to enjoy a fun exciting movie with my kids with a franchise that’s meant for kids at the end of the day.

 

That's always been true, though.

 

You missed the point. The overall point that started when you mentioned skids and Mudflap was that a toyline was being enjoyed by people for many years and calling out the fact that a specific character hasn’t gotten released (yet) isn’t as good a point as you think it is.
