Honestly, I genuinely think the movie will be bad. But I don't think it will be the "fall of transformers as we know it" some have made themselves believe. I just hope I atleast enjoy it even if it will be bad. Cause a bad movie to me is much better than a boring slog. Also while I don't really have much interest to the characters I may get some of them.

I'm expecting an all-out action fest

 

I don't think it will be the best film ever or even the best tf film, but I do think it will surprise a lot of people.

A lot of people are wondering how all these factions will play out. And that it looks to crowded. I believe the main 3 factions we see are the Autobots, Maximals and Terrorcons, I think the Preds will show up in flashbacks, and I think the cons will be a post credit scene, kind of like the near revival of Unicron prompts them to search earth and they find evidence of Optimus and the others.

I don't think it'll be as overcrowded as people think and play out closer to an avengers movie, where everyone has there own moment so to speak, even the villains.

But hey, I could be wrong and it could be a cluster fuck, if anything, the designs (especially the maximals) are easy on the eyes and very recognisable.

 

Agreed with all of this. I generally just don't have high expectations cause well... that's me but even as someone who isn't a fqn of the MCU, I do think the movie will work really well if it really is like an avengers movie.

 

Speaking of Avengers, since it sounds like there might be a sky beam in this movie as well, looks like we are getting late 2000’s movie tropes with this film.

 

There's a sky beam at the end of the trailer in the background of Primal's running transformation.

 

Well Transformers were the ones to really start it, so kind of fitting it would end it (hopefully).

 

Considering the stakes for this film, I really wonder what they're going to do for the sequel. I mean, are they really going to have the decepticons/predacons/whoever try and end the world immediately again? Who am I kidding. It's Paramount so probably. Hopefully this is the last sky beam though.

EDIT: I just rewatched the trailer and I actually didn’t see any sky beam anywhere in the final battle? Did I miss it? Either way, that one test screening leak said there was a beam I think so it’s probably in the movie anyway.

 

The scene where Primal is running, transforms, and leaps at Battletrap, is that not a giant thing shooting a beam into the sky in the background?

Also, Primal in the trailer also says that the threat is "bigger than anything you've faced before" or something to that nature, which of course is the same pitfall of all the bay films, where the next threat somehow is even worse than the last, yet somehow the stakes keep being more or less the same.

 

Only thing I see is that huge structure thing, which most likely is where the sky beam is coming from. But as far as actually seeing the sky beam itself, I don’t think it’s visible in the trailer.

 

I just rewatched it as well and there isn't any sort of sky beam. There are, I think, two separate large structures but not a sky beam.

 

The sequel will have TWO skybeams.
