I’m so glad they gave Scourge a better design. Wish the same could be said for Prime.

 

I can tell that Scourge's final CGI model does actually have his beard that we've heard long ago compared to his concept art.

 

I hope the body for scourge looks better as well. The promotional model for scourge doesn’t even look like a transformer to me, and I’ve never felt that way for any other design.

It’s a beard but not the one from concept art, descriptions of that say it was a flaming beard.

Is anyone else getting a bludgeon vibe off of how that kid's book has drawn Scourge? Like, if his inner robot was just "a fire", but still.

 

Judging from concept art it's not a beard but rather his neck with the front being split open leading to the chest, it's hard to tell but it looks like he still has it in the film just not exaggerated and without the Fire effect.

 

I could literally see Lorenzo mandating that line, too. . .

 

Honestly, there shouldn't be any Decepticons in this movie to begin with, Bumblebee ended with Bumblebee preventing the Decepticons from finding out about Earth, the Autobots should still be operating in relative secrecy on the planet with the Decepticons unaware of the location of their base.

 

See I just don't get what people like about the design. He looks like some generic guy who would be guarding a gate or something. Say what you will about the wizard looking G1 version but at least it was memorable.

 

I just love the head sculpt. The rest of him is pretty generic and uninspiring.

I don't understand what everyone dislikes about it. Looks intimidating. Lacks any weird ass humanoid features. I don't know what everyone else was expecting.

 

I feel like It's just very generic. Sure I guess it's intimidating but It looks so by the numbers. Like I said I think he would make a good background villain but as a main villain I just hope for a more memorable and unique look. The original Scourge design and the RID 2001 version had some more color and little details to make them stand out more. This one I can barley tell apart from most of the other Bayverse bots which is a big issue I have with a lot of them.

To me, he looks like a Transformer crossed with the Witch King from the Lord of the Rings movies.

 

Indeed. Things like trilogies have to first be earned. . .

 

He looks like a Decepticon from RID15, which is a better thing to look like than a Decepticon from AOE, so I dig it.

 

I don’t know, I thought the actual design of most of the AOE cons wasn’t half bad. Just that transformium effect that was weird. Only ones I didn’t really like were Galvatron and Stinger for having 0 vehicle kibble. At least KSI Boss and Two Heads had the excuse of literally not turning into anything officially at the time. Although that could probably be considered a problem of its own.

 

They all look awful to me. They don't even look like transformers just general mechs at a glance.

 

Well they were human made robots in the movie.

 

I honestly like a lot of the KSI bots, the KSI Boss and Trax drones specifically. I've always liked Galvatron and Stinger and the Junkheap guys look cool too. The weakest one for me is Two-Head and thats just because of how much of him is just Shockwave, although I do dig the uniqueness of him having, well, two heads.
