Never thought of it like that but good point. I’m just excited about new factions. Also about Prime and Primal interacting.

I would be fine with it if, based on what we heard, they didn’t go with just not mentioning them. Like not mentioning at all the opposing faction of a planetary civil war is very odd.

You can have the Maximals without the Predacons and I for one would like Megatron to appear since his absence in "Bumblebee".

Honestly we'll probably see close to nothing, I'd love to see how optimus escaped cybertron and seeing him and the other Autobots land on earth to greet bumblebee but all that is probably just gonna be implied or maybe not brought up at all.

Same here, I don't mind the Decepticons not appearing as it makes sense because the Autobots want to remain hidden and undiscovered.
We might see Decepticon goons and bruisers in minor roles for now; they are likely just hunters who followed loose threads or searched every planet.

Wow. . .Even 7 movies in now: if they still can't be bothered to firmly stand on where this film stands continuity-wise, that is really really really bad. . .

Hedging their bets because the producers never intended to reboot the movies, it was forced on them due to TLK tanking, and we know at least one will gladly drop any pretense of rebooting at all if given the opportunity. Dodging the question leaves that option available.
Not that it really matters, we're going to be getting the same content anyway.

I'm sure I've said so before but the absolute unwillingness of the heads at Paramount to just abandon this shitshow is astounding to behold.

The doomed Snyderverse had more actual fans than any of the Bay movies combined and yet even THEY are attempting to correct course after producing almost exclusively terrible films since it's conception, yet even after reaching the inevitable conclusion of their formula with TLK... when given a second chance to start over and perhaps do a better job this time around, they're seemingly just doing the same shit all over again that got them into this mess to begin with! :lolol

It makes you wonder: What will it take? Are they so convinced that the success of Transformers (2007) was a total fluke and are actually afraid to start over and are just hoping if they dance around the 'reboot' question it may garner enough interest to save them again??

Even if ROTB manages to succeed despite everything going against it, we will see a repeat of what happened with TLK eventually. Just not as soon as was anticipated. Perhaps Beast Wars key jangling will be just enough to save them this time, but they won't be able to keep this up.

If you try and look at it from the perspective of someone who cares nothing about Transformers at all, just the return on investment, it makes some sense. From their perspective The Last Knight would be the fluke, not the four previous movies that made a ton of money. They (Paramount)want to keep that going as long as possible, and they see the Bayverse and the guys responsible as the key to that, not "Ditch them and make an actual good Transformers movie". That would be seen as risky.

What it will take is a movie that outright bombs, Strange World-style.

The thing with the Synderverse is that
    1. There's way more competition with superhero movies. The transformers films have had pretty much zero competition with other mecha/robot films, the closest I can think of is Pacific Rim. Pacific Rim never had a movie coming out the same year as a Transformers movie, and PR: Uprising shat the bed so hard it nearly killed the franchise entirely.

    2. DC Comics fans are way more vocal and united when it comes to griefing the movies for changing things from the source material in ways they don't like, and the general audience knows and cares more about Batman and Superman than any Transformer.

    3. The Synderverse has, from what I remember, not really been all that successful either critically or financially.

Yep. At this point, I'd prefer they just go all out, indulge all their worst tendencies so it can end faster.

What the fuck are we looking at here? If this is accurate to what Scourge is in the film, then I think I understand where the dragon shit came from - dude clearly has that motif going on in all the wrong ways. Elongated neck, fire in his chest (this is where the "fire beard" came from I have no doubt), and...yeah those claws just look cheap. To say nothing of how laughably dumb his face is. Like, Halo Infinite meme face bad.

Obviously that’s concept art Scourge and not at all what he looks like in the film. Just go look at the trailer again. His final design (at least the head and neck area) is much different…

    I disagree.

Making art for a children's book takes far less time than designing the entire production process to produce a toy as complex as a transformer. Therefore, the children's book logically could be based on more recent, accurate art, than that of the toy which would have dated back at least two years ago by now.

2007 Leader Brawl remains probably his best figure. Big, chunky, great compliment of electronics, the barrel flips around to be an Armada Megatron-style hip cannon, and he only cost $40.

I want a 1/144 scale kit of that Scourge design, probably made by Trumpeter or Flame Toys. Sure it doesn't look good as a TF but in a Gundam and Code Geass Knightmare shelf it will absolutely rock!!

Bro what :lol  The control arts are ALL outdated. With your logic, Prime, Arcee, and Bee will look like the control arts in the film. Which they won’t. Obviously they’ve changed the renders.. I wished Prime looked like his control art version but unfortunately they changed it. Scourge has changed too.. stop being so biased against this film man :lol
