Got mine today. I like it, except for the exposed fists in cheetah mode. I wish there was a way to hide them better.

 

How so? The beast mode is much cleaner on the Kingdom version.

 

This thing has more paint apps than the Voyager Studio Series Cheetor. Man if they even just had painted his thighs blue like on this Deluxe it would have made a WORLD of difference.

Where are you getting the figures? I can’t find them anywhere?

 

Probably early samples stolen from the factory. You can buy them on Vietnamese or Pilipino websites.

Got the 3 pack with Nightbird and Wheeljack. Cheetor is fantastic.

 

Pros:
1. Better than Kingdom Cheetor in bot mode, his torso doesn't look like a telephone pole with the cheetah doing the marilyn manson rib cage move with tooth pick limbs and swollen legs
2. Actual gut gun intergration and the sword looks good

Cons:
1. Brown legs and bronze testicles are iffy
2. Gimped articluation in beast mode, no ball jointed paws/ feet compared to Kingdom
2. Because his forearms rotate to fill up the bottom its a bit incoherent from the side view, IMO it would be better if the sides just had a massive panel just like the original toy

Overall 7/10, I like it but a KO/ upgrade kit can push it to the final mile

 

Why the two shades of yellow? It make him look discolored out of the box. Also the brown makes the cheetah look like its wearing cargo shorts. XD

Weapon storage is neat though.

Crazy how solid this figure is.



How it manages to fix so many issues that Kingdom Cheetor couldn't resolve, and incorporate the gut-gun to boot, is an absolute mystery?!

 

The kingdom figure goes for a more accurate cheetah so there wouldn't be any room for a gun.

 

I’d argue that something like the BDT Gut gun makes the cheetah mode look more accurate to real life. I feel like where the tail is attached to the body of the cheetah is too close inward with the stock figure.

 

I also got the three pack from the Buzz Worthy Bumblebee line.



I never buy toys that imitate fur cause it looks ugly to me (personnal taste that I expressed in this drawing : Stop Furry Transformers by a-loft-on-cybertron on DeviantArt)

So I didn't buy the Kingdom version of this character. But this one being more robotic, I didn't fall in my "furry so ugly" category, and I happily bought it to finally get a version of this character. And it's so faithfull to the original design that I'll include him in my CHUGs ranks with no problems.
And what a joy. I'm really surprised and impressed by it's quality and the attention to details in the design.

The transformation is Smoooooth !




The cheeta mode is elegant while indeed, the visible fists on the belly are problematic. I like the forearm panel rotating but I wish it could have rotate the other way around to hide the fists.



The robot mode is dynamic, well proportionned and pretty posable.



It even got a balljointed writs articulation like any bot having a sword should !!!!



And that face ... so crisp and shiny. The blue/yellow contrast is at its best here.

One of my favorite part of the transformation. They could have skip it and it wouldn't have change the general silhouette much. But again, the love for nice details drove this design. A very nice touch.

Personnaly, I use this tab to attach it at the thigh as a cow boy.

I tried to remove the tip of the tail to have a sharper blade. But then I ended up with this ... and ... well, no. Don't bother.



Some other detail I like ?
The sort of evocation of the blades some versions of the character pull out of their shoulders. Nice ! I can see a third party company making an upgrade with them.



In conclusion, a great surprise and a Transformer toy like I'd like to see more often. Especially at that price.
