Another trip into the rotb mainline and it's deluxe Cheetor. Being as I reviewd every WFC version of this cat it's fitting to do so again here.Beast mode is great and again though less pose ability (same with bot mode) but he is good in both modes. I don't mind the brown on this 1. It is clever that it includes both weapons and the gut gun stores in his gut . Bot mode it's no mistake it's beast wars cheetor. It goes good with deluxe Airazor all in all another recommend rotb mainline by me

Those random brown parts just throw me for a loop. I don't understand the necessity.

 

Maybe the mechanical for this one. The whole main line has hues of brown it seems

 

You have him transformed incorrectly in beast mode. The forearms are two pieces: that outer furred part rotates up to fill in the torso. The shoulders should sit lower than you have them.




The tail tip flips back in robot mode to expose the sword better:



His collar is actually articulated to wrap around better:



The tab on the side of the gut gun allows for storage on his back:

 

I think he looks great! And he does have some ankle tilt in robot mode, nice! Man this might turn out to be one of my favorite versions of Cheetor.

 

He has brown balls in alt mode lmao.

 

Much thanks the beast mode I totally missed that it looks much better now. That's what happens when you rush only handling it for maybe a half hour . Thanks again!

 

Like Nightbird, the brown here looks kinda ugly, but on Cheetor it's not as bad. But other than that both the robot and beast modes are great.

Putting together the ROTB toyline, Hasbro negotiated a hell of a deal on a bulk purchase of bronze-brown plastic.  

 

Does the gun from ROTB Cheetor for with Kingdom Cheetor?

 

Actually frustrated at how much better designed this Cheetor is compared to the Kingdom version

 

So this isn't the studio series release? I'm confused as to how they're releasing these toys. Some are Studio Series, some aren't, but it looks like they have basically two separate Generations lines for this movie's figures. Do I have that right?

 

Basically yes. The original idea was for these non-SS figures to release with the movie's original release date, and then the SS figures would come out later. The delay in the film's release caused both lines to release at the same time.

These mainline figures might not be movie-accurate but they still seem fun in their own right. Like Cheetor here is basically just his original design with a live-action aesthetic but he still looks stellar! I think it's cool we have multiple options with the ROTB figures, two new Cheetors in one year!

The off-putting brown on all these ROTB figures does remind me of some of the weird color choices for other movie lines, like the colors of the AOE Dinobots.
