I've seen a number of options out there in terms of ripping DVDs I own to iTunes. Since I recently bought a 160G Classic, and all 500-and some CDs I have only take up about 1/3 of it, I'm looking to put a few more movies on it to carry around in my pocket. Any ideas which ones work best?
If you have a Mac, I use a program called DVD To Ipod Converter from Iskysoft. It's very easy to use and it work's great. I think it was around $50 when I purchased mine on line. If you have Windows, I used to use a software program, but forgot what it was. Once you've converted the DVD to Ipod, it will be ready to use in Itunes and thus downloadable into your Ipod. I'm sorry I can't remember the Windows program as it was over a year ago since I used it. But if your running Mac, I highly suggest Iskysoft.
Actually I use Handbrake. Which is dual platform. It will rip your dvds nice and fast. You will also need to download VLC, but both are free.
Thanks or the ideas. I should've mentioned I'm on a PC running Windows XP. Handbrake and dvdfab both seem to do what I want, so I'll just pick one at random.
