Another Terrorcon appears! I figure that much like my Blot figure, Rippersnapper needed to have the similar dimensions, and since I had doubles of this figure, why not! Inspired by Kaiju I figured I would not make this the standard Rippersnapper. I had this 30 year old model of a Japanese f-14 tomcat with shark paint on the nose. While breaking it down to throw in the trash (as it was from childhood and not very well done) the nosecone fell off and bam, i had to make a space shark. The eyes, what to do about the eyes.. I've tried several configurations and styles of eyes but only these do NOT look like Spy vs Spy or a gag from Beetlejuice. Created a new tail for a more form fitting look. I added vents/gills with some grease leaking out. Gave his alt mode claws a thumb and removed a toe on each foot. I reversed all the hinges on his legs so when he is in Bot mode, his legs can be straight while in Alt mode they get all jangy. I gave him a face shaped like a dolphin to kind of give him a "Dolphin in shark's clothing" feel as to highlight his known insecurities. Rippersnappers cartoon head doesn't seem to translate well to reality. I ended up using the tiger shark paint idea and just made it with more depth. The Tail was made from the tail of the F-14 tomcat model, I think it was Revell brand? The chest piece was made from just painting the original figure's shoulder plates which snap and fit perfectly in his chest cavity. I added (detailed?) The thrusters on his palms for a repulsor like look. Added a shoulder cannon in addition to his rear rocket pod. I really just wanted him to look bonkers from all angles. Nothing too serious, just fun. How did I do? Brothers in Terror! and one more thing, the shark can be removed from the body for a swim!
