    Such a shame. He may not have been the first Father Mulcahy, but he was the best. Yet another part of my childhood has left us. Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen, Padre. You will be missed.

    M*A*S*H* is my absolute favorite series, so it breaks my heart when I hear of one of the cast members passing. Everything I read about this man tells me that he was a genuinely decent human being. Rest in peace, sir. You will be missed.

    He shows up in a couple of them, it's one of the benefits of being a reliable character actor. That and Hogan's Heroes recycled it's guest actors with absolutely zero shame.
