Bummer. Gone to that big oil field in the sky. The new version of Dallas just finished airing here a few weeks ago. I read somewhere a second season was already in production. Anyone know if he finished his filming for that or if things would have to be rejigged/scrapped now because of this? The linked article said he'd filmed six episodes so maybe he was written out after those six because of his poor health and the show was able to give him a proper send-off?
I think they're suppose to start airing new eps in January. Unless it was planned to write out JR Ewing in the second season, I can't help but think that it'll be a abrupt ending for the character.
