Guess I'll have to bring out my JLU S1&2 DVD set and have a little marathon for a while then I guess. R.I.P. Dwayne.
RIP Dwayne, and on the day All Star Superman comes out also. I really loved Static Shock, he will be missed.
This really comes as a shock to me. I've liked McDuffie's work for awhile now and have always felt bad for how he got screwed over at DC during his JLA run. This really comes out of left field and I feel for his family and friends.
I am very saddened by this news. I wasn't familiar with his Milestone work, but I do know he knew his DC Universe and he provided some of the best DC entertainment ever. I'll miss his work and All Star Superman will have an even greater meaning to me.
My initial reaction: Well, damn. He was a cool dude who will be well remembered. Rest well Mr. McDuffie.
He was only 49. The hell happened here? I loved his work and characters and had hoped for decades more of it. He was so important in the ongoing story of black comics creators and how they broke down some of the barriers to themselves and black characters through the years. Such a shame, he had so many more stories to tell us. - Coeloptera
I’m really saddened by this. Not only do I love his work, but I really enjoyed watching him on the special features sections of Justice League and such. He had such a genuine enthusiasm for what he was working on.
I am shocked. Gone too soon. His stories were more than just about race and token minority characters. For that I am grateful. R.I.P Mr. McDuffie.
as fans of his work and the contribution he has made to the dcau over time i feel that we have very much lost one of our own this day may you rest in piece mister mcduffie
