Eh, it's DC, they probably won't wait even THAT long. :p  Just make'em a Vegas-style act (come to think of it, I'd probably be down with a whole Vegased-up version Gotham...in some ways it'd be appropriate).

Didn't they do that in Batman Forever? The Vegaded-up version of Gotham I mean.

I suppose they did in some ways, but they can always underscore the seedier underbellyish "founded by mobsters to begin with" side of it beneath all the glitz and glamour and bright lights and whatall.

Well its not like every circus is ending, just the most well known company. I know some circuses have been here in town that weren't Ringling Bros.

They are coming to town next month. Guess I'll take my girls since I won't get another chance.

I went to one back when I was a kid. Got to ride an elephant.

Hopefully they keep the museum open.
    Circus Museum

In the future we may see a holographic version or a virtual reality representation of a circus.
But it won't quite be like the real thing.

Can't say I'm sad to see the Ringling Bros. circus come to a end. I've been to an event once about 10 years ago, didn't really wow me.

Don't really care at this point. I can't remember the last time they came to Buffalo. Probably well over a decade. They used to come every year. I wonder what changed?

Anyways, the closest thing we had around here lately is the smaller scale shows that came to Rochester a couple of times. Definitely not the same as the larger show.

I went to this circus when I was around 3, but don't really remember anything besides cotton candy, the potent smell of crap and the bright colors of the big tent. While I never made an effort to see the show when I got older, it's sad that another piece of my childhood is going away. Sadly, the circus can't compete with the allure of the internet, which is responsible for killing off other, various pieces of my childhood.

Just ordered tickets for a show a week from today.

I heard the meet and greet before the show is worth going to. Anyone know anything about it?

Damn my phone is effing up 0 for 2 tonight! Anyway I'm glad we got to take the kids a couple times so they could at least experience it in their lifetime. Man this is going to sound awful, but ever since I was a little boy, I've always wanted to see someone get mauled, trampled or fall...like through the net! Geez I hope my young'uns haven't had those thoughts too! I've never shared that with them btw, for the record.

It's sad that the era of circuses is fading away.
