You're not alone, they're fantastic designs and truly under-rated. I'd buy all three.
Straight up ART:
That is gorgeous.
im so tempted to get that. Man I've fallen behind on my SIC purchases. Maybe the last one I got was a showa era guy?
Last one I got was Gaim and I've yet to really handle it.
Definitely tempted by the new Ryuki, moreso if they make Knight and Ryuuga.
The irony of all this is that Shinji didn't even go all out until later in the TV Series and in Episode Final when he killed Ryuuga.
Gaim is one I really want to get my hands on. Seems to have a ton of shelf presence, especially with that armor stand.
Would love to see how they’d approach the rest of the ryuki riders. Curious about how they’d stylize knight’s cape.
I am worried a bit about construction on these guys, though. ZX and Super-1’s arms fall off super easy and looseness was always a problem with SIC since it’s original releases. Decade probably had the least issues out of all the one I own.
Really wish they’d return to Kiwami tamashii figures, those were my favorite. Still have all the releases except maybe the kuuga alternative forms in a box somewhere around here.
SICs haven’t had severe quality issues since Den-O, and not long after the W ones looseness started being a thing of the past. (Not that it was even that severe with those) I think it was pretty much gone by the time OOO finished.
Still stings that we never got SIC Accel.
Ah man I regret passing on Kiwami Tamashii, they were GI Joe sized!
I could get the Shodo Riders but they don't look as good.
Ok,time for a little history lesson on Kamen Rider Leangle's Jack form for those of you who don't know anything about Kamen Rider. He never transformed into this in the TV show of Kamen Rider Blade. He ALMOST transformed into the strongest form possible in the show called a King form but it was all a trap because a card he used to transform has a soul of a very pissed off creature called 'Category Ace of Spades' and he looked like this: He held his user under his control until he was freed. That is until Mitsuki - the user of Leangle decided to fight him off as himself with the spirit of the Category King of Spades who is a lot more friendlier than the rest of the monsters in the show and he looked like this:
Along with the help of Kamen Rider Blade's special weapon,Mitsuki was able to beat the Category Ace of Spades/Spider Undead but was saddened because he felt he wasn't strong enough which was evident in him being possessed by the Spider Undead.
Yeah, very lengthy and unneeded explanation of what the character is but I freakin' love Kamen Rider to a T. Watching the recent Kamen Rider is just amazing because it feels like Megaman X which isn't a bad thought since well..Megaman has always been an interesting concept and game series.
Ah yes, nice recap!
I've watched all of almost every Heisei and Reiwa Kamen Rider series, and some of every Showa one, and Blade remains my favorite series. Leangle was my least favorite of Blade's four Riders, but his Jack form is amazing. (I have Garren King Form on its way too, very excited!) Now if only there were SICs of the trio from Missing Ace...
Still, getting SIC KR Garren King form is gonna be a blast because let's face it..it was never seen on TV either. Still waiting on that special of Blade they'e been hinting on,dammit. >_<
Blade is without a doubt teh greatest Kamen Rider series ever made.
Man, that new SIC Ryuki looks amazing.
I really need to replace my old Ryuki (busted elbows and knees).
And obviously get Fourze and Ghost, but they're just so expensive...
That’s a really great collection.
I’ve been in the rider fandom for a long time at this point and I’ve never heard that opinion haha. Maybe I need to give it another go, it’s one of the few pre-Decade Heisei shows I couldn’t really get into despite liking the designs quite a lot. Maybe I just need to push through.
What are you using for risers?
I use some "photo-cubes" that I found a the Dollarama (Canadian dollar-store chain) many years ago; they split into 2 U-shaped halves. (When I found out they could be used as risers, I went back to to my local store and bought out all of them)
The row in the back is the full height; for the ones in the row in front I actually cut the sides to a consistent height to get a shorter U-shape.
The cubes are about 3.5" on each side.
Any of you have the 5.5" mainline Kamen Rider Gaim figures with the functional Lockseeds? They look fun to me but I was wondering if the hands loosen over time? Would suck if they couldn't hold their weapons
Really? It instantly became my favorite KR series back when it was first airing and nothing has ever been able to top it in my book. If it wasn't for the 2 Hajimes 2 parter, it would be as perfect as Dairanger, Kakuranger, and Ultra Seven.
I absolutely love the incredible cinematography from its excellent lighting, camera work, and fight choreography, all which are enhanced with a kick-ass soundtrack.
Maybe I just watched it at the wrong time in my life. I’ll give it another go, I could use something to watch tonight.
Not gonna lie, that kind of praise is getting me excited about it.
If you are talking about the arms change figures, they use souchaku henshin style hands so quite a few of them can barely hold their weapons as is.
