I apologize if this has already been reported, but Wave 11 of RID is up for Pre-Order. Transformers Robots in Disguise Warriors Wave 11 - Hasbro - Transformers - Transformers at Entertainment Earth The figures include: Blurr Soundwave Windblade Strongarm Grimlock If this has been reported please close the thread.
I really get the feeling that these are literally the same Strongarms and Grimlocks being recycled every other wave.
And they'll keep putting them in the wave until everyone bloody well owns 6 of them! I like the looks of that Blurr. But I'm totally considering slapping a Optimus head on there and calling it Boss.
Windblade is at least a new paint job. To me seeing Grimlock and Strongarm coming back again and again tells me they're probably selling well enough that Hasbro wants to keep including them. But what I do find weird is they did Gold Armor Grimlock for one Warrior wave and then never again...and have yet to give Strongarm a Warrior class repaint mode (they did Ratchet for a wave but then that was it)
Windblade has a new head, too! Anyway, according to EE's "New Products" page, this preorder has been added on January 26, and I've had it listed in my thread for a while now.
Back when the line started they offered solid cases of everybody in wave 1. I ordered wave 1 plus Strongarm and Grimlock thinking they'd be the hot characters. Well 6 months go by and uh-oh-spaghetti-o happens as usual. I got my Strongarms - repacked leftovers from wave 1 in a wave 1 box no less - but Grimlock was cancelled. That's all most of Hasbro's solid cases are. Leftovers. They string you along until they're sure they've squeezed out every sale and then dump dead stock on you or, if you're lucky, pull the uh-oh-spaghetti-o cancelled routine. It seems to me that the online shops skip many of these repack waves. BBTS has had Strongarm at half off for over a year. Can't imagine they'd want to buy more. Bumblebee and Steeljaw too...though you never see Steeljaw resolicited. I see Sideswipe and Drift repeat occasionally but either Sideswipe goes _fast_ or orders of those assortments are low. I never see anything but one-steps at retail. Soviet grocery store syndrome. Here's the thing though...big clients like Walmart get to send garbage back to Hasbro. Small fish don't have that luxury. So I still think these are just getting recycled. They slowly trickle out of circulation when some sucker opens an EE account thinking "hey, I like TFs, I bet I could make/save money selling them" and orders a case or two. For the record, I like both toys in question. But you can't give them away. Believe me, I've tried.
