This is kind of an off-the-wall request but here goes...anyone have a picture of this guy with one of the newer Prime molds (i.e. any Classic mold)? Which Primes does he look good next to besides another Laser Prime?

He looks fantastic placed next to any newer Prime mold. This mold was really fantastic. It stands the test of time, I think. The detail and poseability are just as good as, say, Classics Prime.

RiD Scourge (Well, more accurately, Black Convoy) is what got me back into collecting.

I was visiting a friend, and in his room were a lot of Transformers. "Feh!" I thought. "What blocky nostalgia!"

Then I saw Black Convoy on his nightstand.

My jaw dropped. I had missed this part of G2. I have never seen anything LIKE him. He looked like Optimus Prime... more than the original Optimus Prime did. He was articulated, well proportioned, looked just burly and badass, and even looked excellent in alt mode.

I quickly found out all that I could about him, and eventually snagged one of my own, but not before submerging myself in the tail end of RiD, and the beginning of Armada.

    He's not a toy, he's a friggin' gateway drug.

    :lol

That's too funny. Thanks very much for the pics. I've decided this figure is on my want list but I may not be able to act on it for quite awhile. Still, looks like it would fit right in with Classics.

I missed this guy (Laser Prime) in G2 as well! And then I didn't even realize that Scourge (who I always thought was a great concept, but aside from that I had no interest in RiD) was a reuse of a G2 Prime mold until just recently.
