I hadn't even thought of that. That is actually very plausible.

Another great episode of the show. This one has some great character development for Strongarm as well as Fixit and Denny.

So Strongarm is finally given the opportunity of going on a solo mission which she excited for (mostly for a potential promotion) unfortunately for her Fixit keeps contact her every ten or so minutes....and then she finds Bumblebee following her, Bumblebee has a bit of difficulty trusting her on her own, needless to say Bumblebee isn't going to really stop following her.

Meanwhile hijacks ensue at the scrapyard, Denny and Fixit begin to have a feud over who is the more useful member of the team.

Strongarm and Bumblebee pinpoint the Decepticon signal to the jungle and find our Decepticon of the week Springload, a strange Amphiboid who turns into a pickup truck and is obsessed with the lost city of Doradas which immediately brings to mind El Dorado, which even has its own mythical fountain...one made of Energon.

Springload is voiced by John Steven Rocha, another person I haven't heard of before but he leaves a great impression with his performance. The character is completely delusional having attacked many museum personal in the past believing he is truly worthy of Doradas. Rocha's voice reminds me a bit of Phil LaMarr's Hermes minus the Jamaican accent and is a lot more unhinged.

Bumblebee has plans to call for backup but Strongarm tells Fixit that she already has caught Springload because it's her solo mission darn it! This reckless side of Strongarm we have never seen before...I found it somewhat puzzling while watching the episode. The most rule oriented Autobot who is kind of a hypocrite in doing things their way....she's sort of like IDW Prowl....minus being a colossal prick of course.

Denny and Fixit fight over who gets to fix The Decepticon hunter so Fixit decides to rearrange the scrapyard much to Denny's dismay so Denny goes and rewires the command center.

I just wanted to say that Sideswipe and Grimlock actually make a great duo surprisingly, especially considering how in the last episode Sideswipe stood up for Grimlock. They're starting to become really chummy.

Strongarm tries to grab Springload but he has an acidic armour coating, much like a lot of poisonous frogs and this whole temple starts collapsing so Strongarm blasts a hole in the wall to escape. Strongarm admits what she's done but pleads with Bumblebee to give her one last chance and she admits to needing his help at long last.

Denny finally sits down to watching some TV but all it's playing is Cybertron's Most Wanted which is just the Alchemor prison list on 24/7. The two are still at until Russell, Sideswipe and Grimlock come back with the Decepticon hunter now making a weird sound so Denny and Fixit work together to disarm the hunter. Turns out it's a kazoo they had found earlier and they realize they can make a pretty good team and now plan to work on making more Decepticon hunters. Well done Russell, Grimlock and Sideswipe.

Strongarm then pretends to be a spirit of Dorados telling Springload he is unworthy which gives Bumblebee the chance to spring (get it) a trap and knock him into an ancient casket where Bumblebee tells Strongarm good work especially for using Springload's fears against him and putting aside her pride to ask for help.

The "Not If You Prove Yourself Worthy" Bumblebee says at the end is hilarious and perfectly caps off the episode. :lolol

I can understand why people are upset with how Strongarm acted but at the same time I do think Bumblebee could have trust her more. It is a two way streak.

Overall another really funny episode with a lot of great laughs and Springload is a total looney and I love him for that. I hope he shows up again.

Sorry to say, but at this point, there is nothing that can redeem the Strongarm character for me. Nine episodes in and she remains stuffy, dismissive, judgemental and hypocritical. Just when you think she's making strides to be more of a team player and accepting of her team, she slips right back into her original personality. It's like personal growth doesn't stick with her.

While TFP Arcee started off as standoffish, there was character growth that stuck and you could see. I don't see that with Strongarm, as much as I would love to see it. She and Bee are both Cybertronian Law Enforcers, yet of the team, she's the one I trust the least. Again, this is just my personal opinion of her.

i deal with the same shit at work that strongarm deals with in this episode. constant hovering, shit getting pinned on me when it goes wrong and getting berated for not asking for help when i didn't need it. i can handle myself but everybody's always insisting i'm doing things wrong because when the inspector comes by i go by their rules and the manager has been teaching us wrong...

perhaps these epsidoes were aired...out of order,

Maybe Collect em all was SUPPOSED to be Episode 9 and these two Episodes were made to be before it.

Strongarm jumps the gun about Grimlock and feels like the team doesn't like her so she tires to make up for it.

After screwing up the rules she goes back to them because she felt she messed up.

Ok episode, I like that they finally got the hunter working. Springload was an interesting villain, and the acid coating was a nice touch, but did he really have to croak?

And as always, Strongarm really brought it down with the whole quote the rules every five seconds thing. I wish they would physically remove that stupid projector from her wrist so we could get on with her character development already. It's like they're trying to do that thing from Prime where they drag character development out over an entire season, but this show is clearly not built for that, and it makes it seem really forced. It's like everyone's personality, and their relationships with one another reset at the end of every episode.

edit: On farther reflection, it's like they're trying to combine Prime with Rescuebots in all the wrong ways. For example they're trying to combine the very long reaching story arc style character development that Prime used, with the very episodic story telling design that Rescuebots uses. I feel like if this was reversed with a less episodic story line, and more one shot character development it would work a lot better. I would also add a little more of Prime's action, just minus the blatant murder of millions of faceless drones. (Of course Steeljaw almost pulled a Starscream style execution in episode 8 so i can't really complain that much)

How was she quoting rules every 5 seconds? She was breaking the rules this time.

Seriously.. People seem to latch onto something.. then throw a hissy fit about it when it isn't even -in- the episode.

    Aw... that's so adorable... :3

Yeah... speaking of which, did anyone else notice that he smacked his ass while taunting Bee and Strongarm in one of the scenes... kinda reminded me of anime... and it made me chuckle a little.

Personally seeing the background mountains reminded me of Jasper Nevada. Seeing the tombs confirmed that it wasn't but still, pretty nice reference.

She quotes regulations once in this episode. ONCE. In an attempt to stop Bumblebee taking over what is supposed to be her mission, which is against the rules.
You people will grasp at anything to try and bash her.

There just seems to be something off about the character. I can't put my finger on what, so I just assumed it was because she quoted the rules so much. Now I'm not sure.

That wouldn't really work. Grim only started having an autobot symbol as of this episode, as a result of episode 8. I think Strongarm's just having a bit of the same bit of inconsistency/slow development characters like Animated Bee have gone through before.

last time a Strongarm had power they turned out to be a decepticon double agent.... therefore she totally has my vote :p  I think I'd probably completely loose it if in season 2 Strongarm's face get damaged, only for it to crack and fall off to reveal she's really Shockwave in disguise.

In all seriousness though, I don't think this episode is at odds with Strongarm's prior adherence to the rules. In the pilot, she was more than happy to break the rules/regulations when Bee was making his break to Earth because she wanted to go- when it comes to her personal desires she's more than happy to overlook the book. On the other hand, she seems to quote the rules more often as a safety mechanism, either she's out of her element or as a way to deal with people. Is the way she handles the rules hypocritical? Yeah, sure it is, she's a flawed character who due to youth/inexperience hasn't figured out a balance yet and that's cool, its some interesting character depth in my opinion.

As for Bee though... by primus is he a terrible leader in this ep. Like, not even getting into how poorly he acted towards Strongarm, tactically it was a terrible idea to send a single autobot out alone no matter their experience. Sure it was a scout mission and thus they weren't entirely sure what they would find, but with the mission so far away from base and thus immediate back up not an option, it was a poor plan. Not to mention they were entirely lucky the con turned out to be a light weight and not a heavy (or worse, Steeljaw showed up with the other cons.) I suppose Bee is still significantly better as a leader than his IDW RiD counterpart so um... he could be a worse commander but his poor leadership shown here and in the show so far probably explains why a war hero who served under Optimus is still so low in rank even though the Prime movie tried to set him up as cybertron's next great leader.

    That was a Longarm.
Unless you are saying she is both Long and Strong and down to get friction on.

sigh, my bad- I got my arms crossed up. I redact my prior statement as obviously this means she's ShockBLAST in disguise. Also, while I wouldn't infer something as lewd as that, obviously I am implying she is the Longarm of the law

just watched it because most people were/ are complaining about strongarm(SA)

wanted to know how bad she was

SA was mad because BB was being overprotecting

SA thought BB was "quarterbacking her" and doubting her skills that's why she was so adamant to take the lead

SA swallowed her pride and asked for help

as for SA to daydream as "president" that's too extreme for me & didn't like the stunt SA pulled about "striking backup"

    overall the show wasn't bad

I didn't even know people found her miko annoying. I like her and I thought this episode had some good character development for her. Springtrap though was an odd one for me. Didn't really like his design or his character.

Springload. Fairly sure Springtrap is FNAF and... yeah very different.

I got the names mixed up at first too and was convinced they were the same. That would have made things more interesting though!

It's not that that was the only thing she ever did, it's that it's the only thing she ever did that was distinctly tied to her character. I mean, yeah, she was in the background a lot and shot Vehicons, but that doesn't really stick out in people's minds, now does it?

The opening scene reminded me of Jasper. The Denny vs Fixit subplot was pretty entertaining and funny. I loved how Sideswipe and Grimlock were hanging out and being so chummy considering what happened last episode. Maybe they're finally going to do something with the Decepticon Hunter now instead of saying they will and then it disappearing for a few episodes.

Springload was crazy. A great one-shot villain, the best 'con so far except for Steeljaw and Underbite. I loved his delusional obsession with the legend of the Fountain of Energon. His acidic armour was a really cool ability. The end of the episode when Strongarm tricked him by pretending to be a ghost demonstrated a lot of guile on her part and was a fitting way to defeat him. 'Bee's closing line was very funny.

'Bee was just being protective. The reason he tailed her was because he was just trying to protect her self-esteem. Strongarm's development is consistent and makes sense. It's been shown from the beginning that despite her protocol-heavy attitude that she's still young, naive, and childish at heart. She gave up on quoting rules and regulations excessively. Yet, with that gone, when she got an opportunity to go solo her pride swelled up. Her growth is gradual and varied
