To clarify, we're talking about these figures:

Thus far they have only been stocked by import stores based in Japan and by a Brazilian online retailer. Robot Kingdom has had them on preorder for months but keeps pushing back the estimated release date.

Seriously, I can't help but think that Hasbro's decision to make the 2016 subline imprint of Robots in Disguise all about the Mini-Cons was a poor choice, what with them reportedly warming shelves everywhere and waves 3 and 4 of the pre-Weaponizers single pack Mini-Cons going straight to discounters in the US.

I spoke with Jesse Wittenrich yesterday and his brother was looking at them in Walmart in Canada. I have no pictures or receipt but I do believe him. So that is something. Maybe others can get picture proof, but these guys are hitting the big stores not just BigLots/Marshals.

 

They really botched the Minicon distribution with this line.

 

I really liked the TM-style Slipstream (got the normal version from the 4-pack) and wished more minicons had been released similarly to that mold.

The other Weaponizer minicons, like the ones that come with Power/Hyper Surge Bumblebee & Sideswipe, I'm not as fond of. Even for simplistic figures like most of these RiD minicons are, those versions felt a bit too basic.

Hopefully these do show up in the US in some fashion though, since I'd like to track them down at some point without going through hoops like some other non-US releases (the last Prime Cyberverse figures).

 

I am going to my walmart again tomorrow, I can take a pic then, just not sure how to upload it. I didn't buy any because I go for show characters and cannot confirm or deny if they are in the show. Tricerashot looked cool in package though.

So does this mean a US release is imminent or... does it mean nothing at all for the USA?   I just can't believe how quickly Canada is getting everything, considering the USA is just about the same distance from the factories, right?  

 

Its all about what the retailers order.
