Not sure if these are considered news or were mentioned before (if so, mods feel free to delete/lock this thread), but I spotted these at Walmart this afternoon.

RID 2015-branded Drink & Play Surprise Apple Spring Water, imported and distributed by Surprise Drinks USA, LLC. I'm sure you're thinking "we've had Transformers-themed food items before, like those fruit snacks we got during Animated, so what's the big deal?"

The big deal (that's not likely true, more like small to medium...ish deal) is that these drinks have actual toys packed inside them, each found inside a plastic egg (found attached to the bottle, inside the wrap, but not inside the bottle itself). I haven't opened any of them up to check the contents, but from what I can gather, there are five Transformers toys available.

Bumblebee
Sideswipe
Optimus Prime
Grimock
Strongarm.

At first I thought these were the same as the RID Kinder Surprise toys (seen here), but they seem to be different toys entirely. Here are some close-ups of the figures on the bottles:



Also, I'm not sure if the Grimlock-themed bottle, for example, actually contains the Grimlock toy, or if they're anything like the Kinder Surprise eggs, the Transformers-branding means nothing and you could get one of any number of unrelated, non-Transformers toys inside the egg.

Even if these aren't exactly like the Kinder Surprise eggs, attaching them to food items like this seems to be a decent workaround to allow them to be sold in the United States.

$1.87 each, found in the fruit juice aisle. So, if you love Transformers novelties and "Naturally Flavored Apple Spring Water with Vitamins" from Poland, this is a match made in heaven. Keep in mind, they're likely packed at random, and aren't what I consider cheap (inexpensive), so putting together a full set might get semi-expensive.

It seems you can also get pencil toppers, in addition to the 3D figurines. So, if you're interested in these and are a completist, good luck with that.

Nice if your into that sort of thing if this guy was creative he make them in ornaments hang on tree, put them on birthday cake, key ring was it necessary to do 360 of same figure more than once first time was good not more.

Those have more paint than the Hasbro Deluxes do.  

 

So did I as I believe the kinder eggs are illegal here in the states. The ones with the toys inside of them at least.

Hmm, Kiddy versions of Boss Coffee Transformers figures.

 

I bought a bunch of these today.. like 20.. and they only come with the figures.. so far not a single bottle in 2 boxes had a pencil topper. But there are slightly alternate versions.. one with autobot symbol, one without. For Bee, Prime and Sideswipe each had just one. figure without.. 3 with.

 

So...variants as well? Yippee!
