A Nestle cereal brand here in Hong Kong (and possibly South East Asia) is currently running a promotion with toys in their cereal boxes. 3 super deformed figures from the new Robots In Disguise Cartoon can be found including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Grimlock.

We got Grimlock in our first pack.

Not bad looking at all. For cereal toys, these are pretty cool.

Makes me wonder why Grimlock never got a faceplate/mask in the show though. I mean an optional one that slides up during fights. Because this mask looks pretty awesome.

These look pretty cool. I miss cereal toys. I remember back in 86/87ish, Kelloggs had full on transforming robots in frosted flakes. They were very flimsy and cheap, but awesome.

Italy got these exact same figures back in April, inside Nesquik, Cheerios and Cookie Crisp.

What, no Strongarm, Sideswipe, or even Fixit?

I'm starting to think that Strongarm is neglected in just about every single promotion one can think of.

I think whole Europe got these in spring. Nothing special - they are even crooked and lean to one side. No way is the light-up gimmick as good as shown in the commercial.
Grimlock and Optimus were a *** to find, all the packs I bought had Bumblebees. Luckily a co-worker of mine got me a Grim and Prime.

We had 2 types of cereals during the promotion - Nesquick with the figurines and Kosmostars with the codes for "Nestle Arcade" mobile game. Is the same true worldwide?

It seems that these have been in so many countries already (the Youtube video was posted up by Nestle Malaysia in March) and people have noted them in other Asian countries, South America, Russia, Europe... where are they for Australia and America?

Light pipeing as a marketed gimmick. That's strangely nostalgic.

Odd that up until a couple of years ago most transformers toys had light pipe eyes. Even getting to the point of sculpting pupils into the plastic Like animated swindle.

Ironically, according to some people in a Italian TF group, in Italy Grimlock was the most common one.
