There may well have been. Morty was pretty fixated on the idea of dying old with Jessica so who knows what sort of 'futures' he was ignoring in favor of that one possible end. Also, that was a hell of a stinger after the credits. Should have known it would be something like that.
lol, yeah, the after credit scene really tied the whole thing up nicely. I also liked the repeating fascism gag. Wasps don't get down with that shit.
The Akira bits had me and the wife rolling. They even added in the odd tech-y sounding drums that Akira was known for.
It's funny, on paper I would think I'd have gotten real tired of the premise, but for some reason I was fairly entertained throughout.
Definitely the weakest episode compared to the first two this season so far, but I still enjoyed the gags and running joke against heist films. Rick is a giant asshole to have been responsible for the deaths of millions just so he could 'naturally' convince his grandson to give up on writing a heist caper for Netflix and instead continue to have adventures with Rick though. Pretty messed up, if you think about it. Still, was nice seeing Mr. Poopybutthole again.
is there anywhere to stream the new episodes? ive really got no idea where to watch the show aside from hulu having the old seasons
I'm the opposite -- this is easily my favorite of the season. I loved the cheesey heist music, the "I planned for your plan to plan for this plan"-stuff, basically all the dumping on the heist genre. And the reveal at the end was perfect. It even worked on me -- by the time it was over, I didn't really like heist movies anymore either.
That episode was fucking stupid. Also, Rick calling anyone a hipster is pretty golden. I feel like this is one of those episodes that really embody how up its own ass and “smert” this show is to the critics. Not, ah... not a very great outing this week.
