Like everything else in life opinions vary.

According to the writer, "Transformers" series as a whole is the "weirdest" of all franchises, even though the writer did admit it is the best series from Hasbro.

Overall, the writer saw the movie and did like what he saw. He did say that the "script by Ehren Kruger" was good.

This is the main theme of the whole or most of the movie spelled out:

"There is a reason that Attinger is willing to help Lockdown murder every last Transformer, of course, and that reason may be tied up with the work being done by a brilliant and slimy inventor played by Stanley Tucci. He's been working with samples of the metal that was recovered from the bodies of the dead Transformers, including the ruined husk that used to be Megatron. He's convinced that he can now build brand-new Transformers, giant robots that he will be able to control. He needs more raw material, though, if he's ever going to really build an army, and Lockdown promises to give him something called "The Seed," which should terraform a huge expanse of any surface on Earth into pure Transformanium."

    Also an interest note:

"I haven't mentioned the biggest new idea in the film, Lockdown's assertion that there is a race of Creators who have decided to reign in the free will of Optimus and the other Transformers, making Lockdown a bounty hunter looking to collect a reward."

Oof. "Transformanium"? That's just about as bad as "Unobtainium". Couldn't they have gone with something like "Cybertronium"?

But, that aside, sounds good to me.

Actually, I don't think it's quite as bad. The material that transformers are made of = Transformanium. It's a logical name, if a bit too obvious.

    Unobtainum just sounds stupid.

Kinda reminds be of that 'Flexium' thread here a couple of weeks ago, where I posted:
I was taking the piss there, of course, but they managed to surpass even my shitty 'Transformium' and make it sound even more clumsy with 'Transformanium'.

    C'mon, everybody - join the Transformania...um!

It really does effect the credibility of some things when they choose to use the lamest of names for them.
