Isn't it how they fixed Kup in IDW? they used the pretender tech from the end of Furmans run and used it to repair Kups damaged spark and mind I think.
Isn't that like...the Headmaster Pretenders? Or Transformers.... Uh...uh...uh... Victory? Or is that just straight up pretender?
It's a gag line from the Allspark Almanac. The authors use Reverse Pretender tech to disguise themselves as Decepticons in order to interview Megatron. The book is written "within fiction" as though the authors are writing within the Animated universe.
His body is basically a transformable pretender shell not unlike Thunderwing except that the original robot within is just the spark, there's really barely anything left of the original Kup robot to be inside the shell.
^Yeah, check out the All Hail Megatron vol. 4 Coda TPB. Like ^ said, his body is baiscally a transformable pretender shell, while his real body stays back at wherever that place Prowl and Springer were.
Is that where it is? I was under the impression that all that was left was the brain and spark and they were in the shell? Clearly I'm just going to have to read AHM again.
^ I might be remembering it wrong (I am going to go re-read it after I write this). But there was a story in AHM Coda, where Springer was berating Prowl asking what happened with Kup, and Prowl explained it, then showed him the "real" Kup which was just his torso and one arm.
the torso and arm you mention were kup being reassembled after 'a final checkup' before he was released to active duty. I don't believe there is a part of kup left that isn't contained within the new body.
Primus! No wonder Kup is delusional. I always knew the Elite Guard storyline was nonsense. Just another Kup war story.
Those kids from the end of the old G1 toy commercials. You know, the one that would front flip over those rocks and transform into Ultra Magnus?
