Recently I got bored and decided to play revenge of the fallen, expecting it would take forever to find a game and that when I did, it would just be me and some other guy. However, I was able to find a game almost instantly and it was nearly full (3-on-3 after I joined). I have been having experiences like this all weekend. Is something going on?

 

ROTF is just a tough game to kill, not to mention it has one of the most addictive MP's out there.

 

Whenever I watch a Transformers movie, usually after that I will pop-open ROTF and play some mulitplayer. I hope it makes a come-back!

 

To be fair, it has the best MP of any Transformers game.

 

seriously? I'm a pretty big gamer, and love transformers, but the ROTF multiplayer just came off as a bit... rubbish to me. What is it that everyone seems to like?

 

I'm surprised the servers haven't been abandoned yet.

 

If I new how to mod games I'd attempt to add so much to this game, (pc version of course) so many ideas... Characters, maps, weapons... it'd be sweet.

 

Unlike the High Moon attempts at multiplayer, it actually works when you play it.

 

Agreed. And we got more than enough DLC content to keep us playing the game.

Im glad to see it isn't dyeing I really enjoy the multiplayer but I usually play FOC but I think I will go and play it.

 

ROTF's multiplayer is the deffinition of "fast-paced, action-packed combat." It's fast, intense and when you get a full to the brim game it's bombastic. The advanced jumps and melee attacks cmbined with the building-climbing mechanic make for very three-dimensional battles. The different charatcers and sizes and forms really make it unique and more than just a lame third person shooter where you stumble around as a fat robot with generic guns and occasionally turn into a slow moving box, or a jet that seems completely out of place on the maps with all the tight corridoors and corners.

ROTF was fucking awesome. Great memories from those early MP days.

I hope it is. I want to experience the so called "addictive" multiplayer. What little I have played, while mostly enjoyable, didn't make me addicted. It was always one sided and the Youtube videos I've watched were also one sided.

 

Um... rotf only got one dlc, wfc had two, and foc got three. But I see what you mean, the rotf dlc is extremely well done while the wfc ones were okay, and foc's were atrocious (only characters, and said characters didn't add much. Unlike rotf wich not only had maps, but the characters added a new and unique spin to things.).

Yeah, it's pretty much always a curb stomp battle. Either the Decepticons are dominating with a superior air force, and the Autobots can't shoot'em down well. Or the Autobots dominate with either small, quick, but still reasonably powerful ground troops who tend to stick together, or larger solid ground troops (like optimus), and the Decepticons don't have good enough ground forces (like megatron [tank] and longhaul) to take them out.

That's why I always prefer to turn restrict faction off. By the way, I absolutely love how they give you that choice.

 

Oh well, it doesn't matter for me. For you see, I have, just now, used my superior intellect to deduce that I do not actually possess a Xbox. 

 

I'm really excited to hear this, looks like its time for me to start training with trusty old Starscream to regain my skills.

 

Who knows? Maybe the ps3 community will start to pick up too.

 

Ah yes i have it for ps3. I havnt played it in a wile since ive been busy with GT5 and Black Ops. Its definitly the best game outta the whole movie series
