A little blurred and vague, but that with the comic, I can buy it...at least for his bot mode. Still think it's a bit much for the jet itself. And don't get me wrong, the tribal tats look badass, they just don't belong on an F-22.

Guess we'll all have to wait and see, me more than others :( (

The angle of the shot must be throwing ya, his legs are actually very similar in size to the movie model.

Also, his leg articulation is just like in the movie, the picture doesn't show it, but look at the newest video of him. He still has the "hind legs" effect going on.

Hmmm...that video review was enlightening, to say the least. I'm still not 100% sold on robot mode - I can see the advantages, but I still prefer the build, height, and head sculpt on Deep Space Starscream - but the jet mode is such an absolutely titanic improvement that it's hard to believe. I'm keeping DS SS, but I think that this guy might have to get bought in some form as well; I'll wait to see what repaints come along, probably, but this is definitely a mould that looks worthy of my time.

Wow, this Starscream while being MUCH better than the first version still looks like crap to me. The alt mode is gorgeous and the transformation is very impressive, but the movie aesthetic just does nothing for me.

Looks a little short, but I will be picking this guy up. Tattoos are a win in robot mode, okay looking in F-22 Mode. So much better than TF1 Starscream. We actually have hands now! Would have preferred fists, but its still better than what we got in TF1.

If possible, can we see some comparison pics with TF1 Starscream?

Although Im usually a hater when it comes to the movie line; I will say this is a very big improvement over the last toy. I would like to see a skinnier head though, it would be more on screen like. his head looks like a bird to me in the toys ( not in the move though).

I think if they skinnied up the body just a tad and made his head more oblonged instead of dome shaped. that would be great!

I do have to say as far as the movie line goes this toy is better than most!

I think the problem here is that in the CG, it looks like his chest leads into his shoulders, very similar to a humans, while the toy looks like a chest plate lying over shoulders. I think it hurts the look personally.

Its really good for what it is, I think the hands could have been much smaller, and the silver highlights on the face are not really helping, But I might get it if I have extra bucks lying around.

so do his hands rotate? and do the missile launchers fold away or retract?

i think he should have normal elbow articulation instead of it just going backwards.

He's really cool, so much better then the first, a real MK II just like the new leader prime.

There's still room for improvement, hands and cannons sticking out the back really spoil what is otherwise an almost perfect toy, were there no need for the fun factor rocket launchers they could have crafted retractable hands that swap with jet exhausts like energon jetfire/rodimus had to name two examples off the top of my head.
They could also have maybe engineered that big flat piece on his back so it had faux engines transform out of it somehow for that extra bit of accuracy in bot mode, it would also have made him look a lot less boring from the back.

But those are pretty much my only complaints, hands/guns sticking out and no jet engines on his back. Not at all bad considering that they have to do all this to a budget and time scale as well as put something fun in there for the kids. I like the mech alive stuff as well, it's like someone rammed a Lego technic set into his chest, it's really engaging, cool and pretty unobtrusive so kudos to whoever came up with that idea.

But this character is so well done now I don't think we'll see a MK III in 2011 so I'm very happy to buy this one and will be looking forward to picking it up in June.

Great job everyone who worked on it. :thumb

I love how someone said how will Bay explain that starscream has hands now....
just proves that when ppl complain about something..probably half of them dont even care to learn what they are complaining about.
who here KNOWS that starscream has always had hands...raise ur hands ppl.
