Ravage's eye-is it the circle in the middle of his forehead, or the curve in the metal you can see if you follow the top of his upper jaw? cause alot of people (as far as i can tell) seem to think its the hole

 

I am not a fan of the movie designs in general, and I don't think these will change my mind.

I do hope the movie is good though.

Lets see, head that resembles the Decepticon symbol, bumper corners that come together and stick out where the play/stop etc buttons are, yea cant be Soundwave. Since he's black its gotta be Soundblaster.

But the commercial aspect of the movie is really going to hinder the film this time around if they make one of the most popular transformers characters into a plain jane truck.... ugh.... I can see the tech spec now.......

Robot mode abilities include long range sound dampeners for infiltrating electronic communications, High frequency sound emitters that can shatter glass and decomission electronic equipment within a 5 mile radius. Alt mode abilities include better gas mileage due to a more fuel effecient vortec V8 and being able to haul up to 1500 pounds of mulch with optional tow strap accessories and of course ONstar.

 

I agree, Ravage looks more like the Alien fron Alien 3 (the one that poped out of the dog!), But I LOVE how he has his side guns!!!! Sounwave DOES have his head crest just like G1, I'm willing to bet that his visor closes up like how Prime's did!!

Ravage looks awesome.

The early art of Soundwave looks like random Bayformer slapped with a "Soundwave" sticker. They were going to "do him right"...I'd think that would translate into him looking loosely recognizable...like his blue color, chest (not like a cassette player) and the face, ala Optimus Prime.

I do think that the Soundwave pic is early concept art. Not fake, but early ideas. Back when they were calling it Transformers 2. Soundwave looks like Barricade. One good optimistic idea is that his visor is down, but Decepticons don't have battle masks... And his hands aren't all claw like akin to the other designs.

So there is some slim hope for improvement.

Even if he is going to be painted black in the movie, we all know Hasbro are going to do the G1 repaint on the toy like thay did with just about all the other movie characters.

Wait a sec... I think I get why all the blue lights.

That way the reflection of the lighting makes him kinda blue in robot mode.

 

well, real or fake, used or unused, I like it. Soundwave has a fairly easy to figure out transformation scheme, and Ravage is a beast.

 

Soundwave looks ok...or as good as can be expected Movie wise...

Ravage...I'm rendered speechless...and not in a good way...

 

I like them both, except their heads and Soundwaves color, which pretty much seems to be the prevailing opinion in this thread. I'm not to concerned if he doesn't get his shoulder cannon. The blue orbs/disks w/e you want to call them are pretty cool looking. I'm not entirely sold that these are the final designs, I tend to think they are just ealy concepts. There is a ton of time for significant changes imo.

 

I miss when Transformers looked like robots. I liked the first movie just fine but these designs are an eye sore to look at. Far too many things going on. Just an opinion.
