I got a couple "Not For Sale" stamped prototypes/samples

a couple of them have grey fins on the nose and green landing gear opposed to the grey landing gear and green fins on the one we are used to seeing (atleast I am)

sorry some parts are not totally transformed, im am late for work!

It is my theory that the differences between the two versions is somehow related to the descriptor 'NOT FOR SALE'.

Is any of that due to paint, or just a swapped-out plastic color?

 

Mmm, he looks so good, despite color discrepancies. One of the only figures that is a MUST have for me. There are others I want, but this is one I am going to get no matter.

 

Doesn't really attract me at all. But i'm quite sure I'll take a liking to it once i get it

 

at first i liked the fallen toy now though the more i look at it the harder it becomes for me to distinguish his face from the rest of him, maybe its easier to see in hand

 

I like planes, but this doesn't look like a plane to me. Sorta reminds me of Cyclonus.

The "Not For Sale" one is probably an older test shot, before they finalized the color for every piece, and all the paint apps. Not a huge difference from the one we'll be getting. This is one of the few figures I'm worried about getting the Premium treatment. The dark forest green doesn't really bother me, but I have a feeling that he'll look even more awesome in black. Oh well, if he does get the Premium treatment, I could always kitbash the first one into one of his brothers, like Prima, or one of the other first-13-ers.

 

Megatron style

 

While i'm sure i'll get it, it looks like a cool (but wierd) robot that kinda just folds up into a jumble of parts as it's alt mode. He will stand on my shelf, menacing the little 'bots, alt mode forgotten.

 

Looks awesome, damn can't wait to get it. It's a wave 2 figure, right?

 

Got one yesterday, one of the weakest ROTF figures I got so far. Looks good in bot mode, but he's annoying to pose and the alt mode doesn't display the best engineering with the nosecone/cockpit free to move up and down and the 2 visible tabs.

I actually think he's one of the most poseable and well-engineered of the ones I have from the ROTF line. Spring loaded feet are awesome also. I wouldn't mind articulation in his hands, but he's very comparable to Voyager megs, and I personally like the quality of this over megs. I see Voyager megs as more of a "cheaper" version of the Leader class sized.

 

Well-engineered? You're funny. The Fallen barely transforms, his head doesn't turn, waist kibble gets in the way of leg poseability, nosecone can't support the weight of the toy, etc.

 

The Fallen's vehicle mode isn't a problem considering he doesn't transform in the movie, it's just a extra.

 

In toy form, it is a problem. Plus, we haven't seen the movie yet so we don't know if he transforms or not.
