Better, but still kinda off. Though the pic you had with all of the kibble closed up on the back...that did help.

I also liked how you got the nose cone to aim downward like on the keychain. (I realize the keychain's a bit different on the nosecone transformation, but you got it close.)

I might tinker with the combined mode, but Jetfire on his own is coming home with me.

He's too awesome and old to be left behind.

Yeah, Jetfire's awesome by himself, and don't knock the combined mode until you get a chance to fiddle with it. There's a lot of options for the kibble to suit your personal preference. I just posted a ton of alternate kibble configurations in the pictorial thread.

Hmm.. Combined mode limits articulations from what it seems.. Maybe I should be corrected on this. And about Jetfire's arms, I think if you make them face backwards and up at an angle (sort of like "shoulder antennas"), then I guess it would be cooler. :)

I'm not digging the combined mode, but it's interesting in its own unique way. And Jetfire and Optimus look a lot better on their own, especially Optimus. I'm don't really fancy Jetfire's design.

$45.00 USD a piece. ($90.00 for the set.)

Cheers. I may, may, pick up a Jetfire sometime down the road when they eventually go on clearance just for the alt mode. The Blackbird really does look great, kibble and all.

Peaugh, it looks better with the shoulder pads folded like what you did in the pix . Now I am just kinda curious, what kind of paint did you use to customize your Prime. I just noticed you changed the red colored part such as those on his feet and on his shoulders.. there are also parts that are now gray and blue. Hope you could share it. Thanks.

It's just a silver paint pen, and some red and blue acrylic paint. Easy peasy.

Could you make him hold his gun upside down like he does in the official pics?

Yeah, it's just a matter of plugging it in to the bottom of his fist instead of the top.

    Good one sir!

What is that thing stuck in the back of the vehicle mode you showed?

I believe that is the weapon/gimmick that comes with Leader Prime. These were actually 2 different figures - one in vehicle mode and one in robot mode.

Looking back at the ole Transformers Revenge of the Fallen leader class Optimus Prime, on loan, I remember these Leader Class glory days. How well does this big boy still hold up? Surprisingly well!

In what we will call part 2, we look back at the original Transformers ROTF Jetfire (Optimus was part one), and this big plane lad is both odd and astonishing all on one package!
