It appears their is no grid & no in dents on the RTS toys like the 1980's rub symbol toys had.

Resulting in the RTS Shields not being applied straigth & alligned properly on the new RTS toys.

I noticed this when I bought tracks & jazz. that tracks shield rub symbol wasn't applied straight on the toy. the symbol looked like it was thrown on random with little regard to align the shield properly on the toy.

Even though I didn't buy RTS Mindset,I also noticed his shield was just randomally thrown on their as well. with little regard to align it properly on the toy.

So I guess the shields are being applied on the RTS toys by machines on a automated assembly line & not by human workers on a assembly line.
I came to this assumption because I saw 4 RTS Tracks with the same exact angle mis-aligned shield symbol in the same exact pattern. only automated machines could make the same exact mis-aligment mistake repeativly. humans on a assembly line apllying those shields to the RTS toys would mis-align them differently each time.

I noticed that generation one did it right. in regard to applying the rub symbol shields. as their was a tiny square in-dent made on the mold. making it easier for the automated machines to align the shield rub symbol inside the tiny square in-dent on the toy.

RTS shield stickers are not perfectly applied.

I just said exactly the same as you in half the words yet your thread will garner a lot of responses. What a weird world the internet is.

I would have liked it if the stickers came on a seperate sheet and not already applied.

Rubsign stickers only align properly when they are aligned properly.

Well on the subject the rubsign on my Fallback appears to have been placed on a seam where he transforms. After one transformation its already curling up.

Rub signs only make sense if they make sense.

On-topic, I never really cared for rubsigns. I usually take them off and stick them on something random like my computer. It's fun seeing the colors change on the stickers when my computer warms up.
As far as I can remember, I've only seen a few toys that have an indent or a deliberate spot where a rubsign can be placed. Plus, they are stickers, and it is really difficult for stickers to be "perfect" on a toy.

Seeing as how I took the rubsigns off my classics, I really don't care

    Don't you mean

Rubsign stickers only align properly WHEN they are aligned properly.

They're stickers. Either fix 'em, move 'em, or remove 'em. Better'n complaining that some factory worker didn't do a better job than you might in the same situation.

Recommendation: Take Tracks' rub sticker and move it to the rear window of the car. It blends in nicely, and is still available for rubbin's.

The shields were probably added as an afterthought once the idea of using rubsigns were decided on. But they are stickers end of the day so you can move them or remove them if necessary. I think there are worse things to be worried about than a sticker not being perfectly centred.

Yes I agree. It's very subtle and easy to miss. But you are correct sir.

My Classics BB was like that, I have another Rubsign on him and it still doesn't fit on well.

    I need some Reprolabels.

I'm sorry but, were rubsigns ever perfectly applied? I recall my Classics rubsigns being slightly off on every one of my figures.

Regardless, I'm collecting the United line and avoiding the issue altogether.

Misappropriated and out-of-context quotes aside, that would be pretty funny.

I'm just considering, for continuity with most of my other classics, removing the rubsign altogether and applying an Autobot shield sticker to Tracks' (and probably Wheeljack's) chest. Same with Jazz.
