I've been a Super Sentai fan for several years now and I don't have any merchandise from it. The real stuff is a bit too pricey, so I looked to the Power Rangers stuff. I rather liked the idea of the retrofire series. I looked at some reviews and the Jungle Pride megazord seemed to be the best figure currently available. I thought the articulation was pretty cool, totaling 18 points. But the paint scheme seemed too simple. So I added all the details to make it show accurate. I added: - blue paint on the GekiTiger's eyes as well as the black trim around it going up to the ears. - Changed the black on the outside of the face to silver and the bits on the inside to black. - Painted the "rings" on the biceps black - filled the holes on the back of the fists with hot glue and painted orange. - painted the fist claws silver - black paint on the back stripes and back skirt. - black details on the tiger paws at the thighs - black on the thigh and lower thigh - silver on the back of the legs - orange on the leg bumps - black on the back of the legs under the silver - yellow on GekiCheetah's spots - black on GekiCheetah's head spots - silver on the feet of GekiCheetah and GekiJaguar as well as the top of the eyes above the "sunglasses" - black on the cheek stripes of GekiJaguar.
Very nice. I always thought retrofire could go a bit pricier if it had better paint aps and joints. (As in all the same as this one.)
Thanks! Yeah, I have NO idea why all the others don't have the same joints. The lack of detail I can understand, but really, the articulation for a toy line should remain roughly constant.
