Can't. Got the SNES Mini hooked into one port and the Blu-Ray hooked up in the other. I think I had one other HDMI port, but I'm saving that for the Genesis Mini when it gets here. So Component is my only options really. Unless you're suggesting I buy a new T-V with more hook-ups, which would probably be a little too large honestly. Hell I don't even have my Gamecube or NES hooked up.
Nah, you just need to buy a HDMI switch like Murasame suggested. Move the PS3 to that and leave the Wii on component.
Well, fudge. I just saw that the Retro-Bit/CastleMania reissue of Metal Storm includes the content that was cut from the original Western release. I wonder if I can still sell my original copy for $100+
Just used up the last of my GameStop trade-in credit to get Donkey Kong Country 3 for SNES. Hoping the cartridge is in good condition when it comes.
You can either have good or cheap with sticks, but not both at the same time. Hori, C+L and MAS were the good ones. Ascii and Capcom are considered to be the best of the cheap ones.
Interesting... It seems to be the same prices and packaging as the ones already announced by Castlemania: Home page I wonder if they collaborated on it or something.
Thanks! I'll have to look around, and see what I can find. I mainly want one to play Star Fox and Wing Commander.
wow mas sticks. I had a good one for dc and ended up selling it towards the end of the dcs lifespan. but damn yeah...they made great stuff
What's a "good" arcade stick kinda depends on what you want from it. If you wanna play in tournaments or whatever, listen to what others are saying about Hori, C+L, and MAS... or maybe build one. If you just want something for casual play that works as well as a standard controller but feels sufficiently "arcadey" I'd go with Capcom. If you want to trade some of the arcade feel for turbo switches and more of a Nintendo OEM feel, go with ASCII.
Been playing Quake 1 as I was still hungry after finishing Dusk. i'd kind of forgotten how nasty almost every enemy type in the game is and how quickly you will get wrecked if your not on the ball, can't imagine that anyone would ship a mainstream FPS these days with a similar difficulty curve.
That statue packaged with the collector edition looks awesome; wish I could convince my wife I need it lol! I remember Nintendo Power used a pretty sweet clay model of the M-308 Gunner in their review, it was even featured on one of their monthly posters. Just completed the NES version of Metal Gear—for the third time, I think. Had a random itching to play it, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Think I discovered where I always got stuck as a kid: I could never find the compass! You have to call Jennifer outside the room where it’s located in order for it to appear. Ugh! Who knew? I remember there was a full-color Metal Gear ad featured on the back of comic books in the late-80s showing all the gear you could collect. It was only a tease to me because I could never get past certain points in the game. There’s not even a hint on how to get through the two jungle mazes! Metal Gear is NES-cryptic gaming at its finest. One final note: Snake actually has a different right and left sprite when he’s holding a weapon. Not a big deal, but a nice touch for an 8-bit game.
I went ahead and ordered the standard edition of Metal Storm. The Collector's Edition extras look nice, but I can't justify the full price when the normal release has everything I actually need. I did figure out the difference between the LRG and Castlemania versions of the Collector's Edition though. Everything is the same except the color of the game cartridge. Castlemania gets a blue cartridge, and LRG gets chrome, which hardly seems fair. The regular version has a black cartridge no matter which distributor you choose. I went with LRG so that I could order River City Girls and the new Gunvolt at the same time.
Anyone else score a Neo Geo Mini off newegg on Wednesday for $60? I'm not a huge fighting game fan but that's an amazing price on an interesting little system. I'd been keeping an eye on deals on it (didn't want to spend $110 on it) and my patience paid off.
