Does the TFC null rays fit on the Walmart starscream? I don't really want to display it with those elongated null rays.

 

Yes, but the color differs if you care. I plan on doing the same thing and putting the WM missiles and rays into storage

 

My SS still says Delayed, Hot Rod says 2/21 and "Preparing" FFS really?

 

I have to add after playing with it, the WM launcher holes are much bigger than the TFC rays/missiles so the rays are very loose inside, but it's ok if you're just displaying.

 

Can the shorter projectile be clicked into the Walmart launcher?

 

It'd be the same situation. It will go in, but won't really feel like a solid click. Luckily the WM launcher has the neutered spring so it'll just fall down, not fly across the room.

 

I've learned before it's not good to preorder from Walmart anyway. Better chance of finding both of these in store before then. And undamaged because Walmart does a lousy job protecting their merchandise during shipping.

Starscream did indeed arrive today, and they shipped him IN A PADDED ENVELOPE. Of course he box is pretty bent up. Can't do a return/exchange as they're out of stock, can only refund, so I guess I'll keep him. Not happy. Hot Rod also due Feb 21st like the rest of you, we'll see how that goes. My Galaxy Shuttle box was trashed when I got it, not having very good luck with Walmart shipping these days. Meanwhile, I haven't had a damaged package from Amazon in a year or more. Very odd.

 

This is unfortunately pretty standard for Walmart. Everything they can ship in a padded envelope they will. When they use a box, they don't secure the items in the box. Anyone who's planning on keeping their's MISB is much better off avoiding Walmart all together.

 

Yup, that’s how my box was - it had a rip in it. Luckily the toy was fine and I really don’t care about saving the packaging.

Honestly - I like that Hasbro is going with minimal plastic in its packaging. The shipping is another matter though - need just enough to get the product to its destination undamsged.

 

Walmart actually shipped your Galaxy shuttle? You got it from them and not pulse? Mine and 2 friends all had ours cancelled by Walmart

 

Found Starscream at the Walmart in Cullman AL this morning.

 

I think this is what I'm going to do. Unless Walmart ships my Hot Rod and Starscream without charging my prepaid card I'll just wait until I see them at the store with my own eyes and undamaged. The G1 toys are clearly not better than the new ones these are solely for nostalgia.
