Okay, this definitely confirms that there will be surprising new heroes, I'm calling it now, Megatron is a good guy.

Edit: I don't mind control, but Optimus going bad of his own free will would be beyond the pale.

 

I really, really, really doubt we'll see anything beyond Optimus getting mind controlled, and Megatron forming a temporary alliance to stop a greater evil.

 

I hope you're right, man. This whole "Optimus is becoming the villain, Megatron might be the hero of The Last Knight" business is getting real old, real quick.

 

It's gonna be either Megs, Hot Rod, or Bumblebee that's gonna take over to counter Evil OP.

My money is on Hot Rod. Why else would they introduce him?

 

In the trailer, the cons are caught in a big explosion which looks like an attempt by someone to help Cade escape.... but maybe cade and the cons are actually fighting a common enemy...

 

There is almost no way Optimus is intentionally doing what he is doing, so even if he's doing bad things it's not like he himself is bad at his core.

First, his eyes are purple and not the normal blue. Something definitely is not right.

Second, the Quintessons have been confirmed by Lorenzo di Bonaventura. That and the above make this movie already point toward a "Dark Awakening" type situation.

Third, and related to the point above, is that in the last film we know from Lockdown that the Transformers were built to do as they were told, and they were made of a programmable metal to boot. This whole Optimus likely being controlled is really just a continuation of things hinted at in the last film.

 

true now that you mention it makes sense though i am confused as to why in the trailer he was multilated just floating in space. Was he killed? did the quintessons rebuild him?

 

Ok what have I missed what has happened to confirm megatron is a good guy?? although I've already stated I believe him to be the reluctant hero by the fact he didn't kill Lennox with that sword smash to the ground. For me it's either control collars from the humans or the quints can control the actions of the transformers against their will....hence primes forgive me comment

if the bee movie is indeed an origin story..wow...if prime kills bumblebee (or any autobot for that matter)...there aint no comin' back from that..

 

It's called the clash of fans...Bumblebee fans vs Optimus fans!  

 

i think i will cry real tears if this happens...this film is gonna be a rough one for the autobots i sense..

 

Meh, I don't mind if at the end Bumblebee kills Optimus, but the other way around...whew

 

optimus has been through so much in these movies..it would be hard to stomach if he kills his most loyal ally...it would be awesome...but tragic at the same time..
