I forgot about Knock Out. Fuck yeah, Knock Out! Such a great character.
Rally car, audio quattro is a classic. Not sure drifting was a thing in the 80s but rally cars always drifted... You must have a link between drifting and drift lol.
Just realized that your Bulkhead is a "remold" of the Inferno design. That's pretty awesome.
What do you think about Wisent 8x8 Wheeled Armored Transport Vehicle for Bulkhead?
Too new for 80's G1, but an Su-47 works even better for Windblade. (Twin-engined).
I NEED IT
Thanks! And yeah, it'd be the third or fourth actually, Mitsubishi Fuso brother, haven't found a pic of this model as a military truck, but it could be something like this, only in the right colors, of course:
I think it'd make for a nice companion piece to Hound.
I like it, it's a cool vehicle, although a recent one, it'd fit better as a CHUG version maybe?
I think you're right, that's a better fit for Windblade/Slipstream
I was unaware of that Military Fuso. Fifth version I think. Inferno, Grapple, Hauler, Artfire.
I like it, but bulkhead needs to have some armor on him. and in keeping in the era, maybe an Alvis Stalwart?
And I hope you know I'm not saying your designs are terrible. I love them. I'm just throwing out suggestions, shootin the shite and generally killing time until your barricade becomes a reality.
I kinda like that Alvis Stalwart, as long as Bulkhead is a nice, fat robot I'll like it
Haha, don't worry at all, I'm glad you are liking the general idea; I've had this in mind for years and I hope it's picked up at some point. I've pointed the third party to this thread, so hopefully, there continues to be support. Right now we are at some 70% yes and 30% no in the poll
I hate retools of unrelated characters. Like I mean when you retool one character's mold into a character who didn't share the mold in the past and doesn't look the same or anything so I wouldn't want Windblade and Slipstream to be mold mates. I also don't think any real life vehicle would look right for Windblade (dunno about Slipstream - don't even know what continuity she's supposed to be from) but if they made a MP style Windblade that looked similar to her Canon vehicle design while also looking like it's believable as a real world vehicle, and if it were done well, I'd probably buy it.
I love the idea, but not at current 3P prices.
Hmm I think I prefer the Bayformer, sorry lol!
Characters I would buy if they where brought over to a Generations/MP Style
Barricade (But not a Prowl repaint)
A Classic Camaro or even modern Camaro Bumblebee using his G1 transformation.
CW Alpha Bravo
Maybe? I don't think I'd be willing to pay the higher end of 3rd party pricing, and the design would have to be something neat to get my interest. Like that VW bus that might still see the light of day.
Still I have preference towards the G1 series. I really want somebody to make the transforming drones that were in the last two minutes of Make Tracks. File:Make-Tracks Drone Transformation.jpg - Transformers Wiki
Or somebody make a MP version of the Gyronian Sentry.Gyronian Sentry - Transformers Wiki
Cars back then we're such raw badassery
Huh, the Gyronian Sentry would make a good base for a G1 Lockdown or even a base for un-action mastered Axer and Circuit...
But windblade and slipstream are mold mates in the legends line. And now that that's in the past, making them mold mates in the future is ok, yeah?
To be honest if I were to produce G1 Slipstream masterpiece, I'd simply give her an F-15 alt mode with a more female looking version of the Starscream not mode, just like they did with Tracks and Road Rage. Slipstream originated as one of the Starscream clones in Animated, after all.
Now thinking on costs, I can see a third party making her a mold mate to Windblade.
I'd take a G1 Slipstream, Lockdown and Blackout.
No, its an interesting idea but I have zero connection to anything Bay so theres nothing to make me want to spend money on what would essentially be a made up character. (I know, they're all made up....)
