Can someone help me bring back Heroes?

    I think it's my destiny.

Every time Heroes came back on the air I got a new job.

So lets do this, so I can get my Monday night Heroes, and start buyin some toys!

A number for NBC, tips on starting a petition, anything.......

Let's do this, and I am interested in making sure they hire Adrian to play Nathan as part of this Resurection.......

Samuel was awesome, but they didnt end the series, they just stopped making new ones......
Something that epic needs an ending..........

    Lets do it!

    Become a super hero.

Then you got a job AND get your hero fix.

Seriously, though, I don't really want Heroes to return. I think it's had a decent enough hit/miss run and can leave us.

    No.

The series was terrible by the end. They had the big writers' strike to explain season 2 being so poor, but then they had no excuses left.

The ship of Sylar from "monster" to "in need of/desiring redemption" sailed a long time ago and the fact that they kept flogging it shows just the sort of dearth of new ideas that show had. There was only so much sympathy possible for a gleeful mass murderer. I don't care how cool Quinto was, the character was utterly past being redeemable, and everyone who suggested it just looked like an imbecile with a death wish.

The show kept cribbing comic book plots, primarily from X-Men. Having Jeph Loeb on staff did not help in the least. We got Days of Future Past, then we got the Legacy Virus, then we got Dirtneto and his Carnival of Evil Mutants.

Maya was a plot tumour whose story went nowhere. In fact, the show was plagued with plots that consistently went nowhere. Where's Peter's future-girlfriend Caitlin? Who cares! Didn't Claire have healing blood? Don't remember! Wow, Adam's back, I'm sure this is going somewhere interesting. Wrong! Is Papa Petrelli actually going to do anything with the nigh-godlike powers he has taken? Nope! Is Tracy's decision to join Samuel going to have any real impact on anything? You wish!

The idiot ball kept being passed around like crazy after Peter finally got rid of it. Characters acted like mongrel idiots purely because the plot dictated it. Claire and Noah's character arc just went around and around in one big, boring circle. Claire wants a normal life! It's too dangerous! Claire does something dumb and gets in trouble! Noah to the rescue using questionable tactics! Claire finds out about said questionable tactics! Relationship suffers as she distances herself! Reunited as Claire realizes he loves her and Noah realizes he went too far! Repeat ad nauseum.

The show is far better off buried.

To give them credit thougth, that was a pretty accurate reflection of the comics genre that it was ripping off. Right down to the customers that kept eating it up regurdless of how bad and pointless it got.

Gawd help the MaT forum if there is ever a new live action Spider-Man show.

I liked season 3 more than season 4.
Season 4 just stumbled from episode from episode with no direction, so I'm glad it's not coming back.

Never saw season 4 ... but i did buy the dvd of season 3 and marathon'd it. Actually watching it all in one go did make the show seem alot better. Alot of character choices and actions kinda made sense when you could remember everything that was going on.

I actually think heroes suffered from the show format of one hour a week for nine months of a year with a mid season break. The show really needed to do 2 hours episodes and finish in a 3 month period.

Hey, I never said it wasnt anything other than what it was, which is what you stated.

    Lots of X-men references.......
    your point?
Stan Lee was involved with the show so...........
Obviously, with the Star Trek etc, the show was made for people to just sit back and smoke and watch, ............
Some parts were boring, the deaf girl, I think if she was hot, It would have been more tolerable.
Everytime there was a bad ass fight scene, it wasnt technically a fight scene, and you could tell the budget was kinda low

I enjoyed it for its mindlessness. The way it sort of hypnotizes a person into a dreamlike state. I enjoyed how any episode could totally change a character. I like the filmwork , angles and scenery..........

Were there lots of chacters that got ignored? sure.....
Claire going les........ok, whatever, kinda boring though........Not sure if she was 18 by the shows end, but she was sure fun to watch, you gotta love her features

    My favorite characters however:
    Nathan
    Peter
    Claire
    Noah
    Ando!
    Mohinder
Matt Parkman ,( and his little speedster chick was hot)
Sylar of course, but I agree him going back and forth was strange, he just needed to stay bad or good, I think bad was the best.
    Samuel had an awesome actor

Yes, I am going to miss it. It wasnt the best show on the planet, but it was the only thing I ever watched religiously. Not Lost, not whatever else they play these days.........The end of Chuck was always fun to watch as I waited for Heroes lol, other than that I'm an anime dude

So maybe that explains why I liked Heroes. I'm the mindless robot who grew up on comics and cartoons, and Heroes is about as close to reality as I care to get. Oh and Hannah, but lets not get started on that one........

"Fabulous secret powers were revealed to me the day I held aloft my magic sword and said......" "Only three others share this secret" Ok, Hannah....I mean He-Man. Shit, at least she changes her hair a bit when she transforms

And you forgot to mention Mohinder becoming the Morlocks lol

Clearly I'm in the minority here. I thought Heroes was a bad show from the start and it quickly proved that it could be a lot worse. I posted somewhere (it may have even been on these boards) back then that without a reason for them to exist as titular heroes, the show is going to take a nosedive into pointlessness.

Seriously, I gave up on the series by the second episode, I came back to watching it only because everyone I worked with and even my parents were watching it and discussing it. It never became so bad that I had to stop watching it, but it was never all that enjoyable; it was almost my definition of mediocre television. Anyone who had ever seen the 90's Fox Kids X-men animated series had already seen everything they did, except drastically better.
