A friend online told me they had a loose junker Micronauts Lobstros. For those who don't know, it was one of the last of the toys released in Micronauts, and it's quite hard to get and expensive. So even a junker is worth a lot. Problem is collecting all the parts...

So I tried my hand a replicating some of his missing bits on Shapeways.

He needed the two small wheels under the claws, the right arm, and the two laser guns. I worked completely from pictures online, and came up with these...

Note: Shapeways doesn't have brown plastic, so it might still need a little paint on the orange arm.

I cheated by taking the photograph of the real arm and converting it into a silhouette SVG file and importing it into CAD, so I could follow the outline exactly.

This toy was all the rage in 1980.

It even appeared in a Marvel Comic and was scheduled to be a cross sell with Marvel figures as a vehicle for the Green Goblin under the code name "The Claw".
